Well, one issue is settled by the 2nd picture - the Multi IQ logo has the words “simultaneous multi frequency

Yep, and another question answered: it is NOT waterproof.

The coil is waterproof but not the control housing which is only "water resistant." Probably a good move for product differentiation from the EQ600, but not being waterproof crosses it off my list.

Well if it’s any consolation, there’s mounting evidence that equinox is not waterproof either – judging by the number of reports of flooded control housings on the Nox

I've used my Equinox 800 in the water for one summer with no problems but now I'm worried it could leak. I don't like that the waterproofing is glue. Glue can sometimes deteriorate after time. I hope Nokta uses a greased seal instead of glue in there multi freq. detector.

its about as waterproof as the MXS and as popular as the Bible - smileys with beer
