Nice hunt, I forget how massive those .69 cals were, cannot imagine taking one of those!

If you don't mind me asking, what settings were you using? Your desert/high desert site looks a lot like some of the desert sites we detect, some have some really funky soil (alkali soil).

Cal

Cal_cobra-Park 1, 50 tones, GB'd, AM on, FE-0 (F2-0 is funky in my ground), recovery 4, EMI was an issue on this hunt I usually run it at 24 but could only get it up to 22 on this property. I also run my iron volume at about 10

Calabash-Thanks

Thanks Abenson. Will be doing some relic hunting this weekend, and plan to try Park 1 vs Field 2 on some of my iffy targets. I've pretty much exclusively been running Field 2 with great success, but all of the discussion around the Park 1 and the new FE settings have my interest.

Cal-cobra-I used to run Field 2 myself all the time but once Tom started talking about Park 1 I started comparing signals between the 2 modes. In almost every case Park 1 sounded better and grabbed onto the deep targets better. What I've been finding lately in my soil is that in carpet of nails Park 2 is really a good performer, seems to unmask about 10-15% better than Park 1. Been playing with the prospecting modes a bunch as well and I'm really starting to like those for relic hunting too.
