Geez guys, cool the jets a tad. A pilot run is basically a "dress rehearsal" for production. The units made are most often packed and put in inventory and become the first production units. The Impulse pilot units have, so far, not graduated. The glitches being worked out are production-related, which is a major reason for doing a pilot run. It's taking a while because the factory shut down for the holidays.

Just to be clear, if this "line of attack" shows up on my forum it will be deleted once and perpetrators banned on a second try. I for one am interested in prying information out of Rick and could care less about the semantics surrounding the detector he has. Nor could I give a rip how FT conducts their business. It's their business. The bottom line is Rick and anyone who wants to share information on my forum is welcome. Those who want to nitpick and harass are not. Rick had this coming.
He has been rude to me here in the past.
Claiming my post were click bait.
Barging in and talking about a detector not part or my thread’s conservation.
Being nit picky with me all along.

Ashamed no one came to my rescue when I was being attacked here. I know folks witnessed.
Accused of lying about finding Spanish silver, etc.
I even did a video with another member here showing me finding Spanish silver.
All the attacks about my abilities and experience to run a metal detector.
Geez.
I sure didn’t take my ball and go home.

So back to detecting, hunting, and all the other things I do.

Maybe I possess too much intellectual curiosity. Or pay too close attention or just remember things folks say.
Never thought these were crimes.

Most of us on this forum are more interested in detecting and specifically new detectors, not the rantings of someone that got their feelings hurt at some point and thinks that this thread is a good place for revenge.

Yeah, lets get back to detecting. Good advice! HH jim tn

Just re-scanned this thread and saw this. I was in Delray in November and hauled an Impulse proto with me. I got one day to hunt so I ran up to Sebastian and hit the beach at Ambersands. Nothing good. I headed back to the car and ran into a guy in the parking lot who said "Go down to the Seagrape access, they're finding musket balls today." So off I went. That beach is very narrow and by the time I got there the tide was well on its way in, so I only got maybe an hour. Still nothing good.

I'd like to get back and do a few serious days, maybe April would be a good opportunity.

Ambersands is one of my stops. Certain sections cut but you have to know where not to go to avoid a lot of the aluminum can slaw from the fishing boats going in and out of the inlet.

The beach renourishment projects have slowed things down a little but mother nature continues to create the opportunity "zones".

My big handicap was that I knew nothing about where to hunt. I dug up a little info on the Internet and took my best shot.

Geotech you have the inside scoop. When is this detector projected to come to market? Thankyou for clearing up that Rick's unit is not a production unit and still has glitches. I knew something was off...It did not make any sense for a company to have a detector ready for release that is supposed to be cutting edge and only sell one.

I don't know a date. I'd guess Feb at this point. Major long-lead item is wrapping up FCC compliance testing.

Uh... not at all what I said. But if you have an overwhelming need to be right, then I'm OK with that.

It was pretty clear when he said glitches he was talking about the production line, not the machine. Quoting from Geotech "The glitches being worked out are production-related, which is a major reason for doing a pilot run."

Thanks, I almost missed that.

Okay, let's get the topic back on track, or start a new thread.
