Just an FYI to some who sometimes don't know the ramifications of what they are asking. Some NDAs include stipulations that specifically state that you will not disclose that you have signed an NDA or anything else to reveal a project even exists or that you are involved in it. You might consider that declining to answer questions sometimes is an answer, and also consider that nobody owes you any answers at all. It often seems the people demanding the most answers are never there to answer questions for others when asked. Some do not wish to invest in a new detector, do tests, and shoot videos, and all but pound the table demanding others do it for them. I'm not singling out the OP here or anyone else, but you have all seen it.

The motivation behind the question was based on the happenings on the forum during the Equinox release. Tom D. was constantly being pestered with questions concerning the Equinox and "theories" that he wasn't answering questions, or limiting the amount of information because of an NDA. It would be more productive for the forum and less troublesome to Tom D. if he wasn't under a barrage of questions that he can't answer. There was also some anger aimed at the Minelab by some posters for Tom D. not being able to provide more information. Those types of feelings towards FTP seemed to be gathering steam already. I am not trying to defend FTP as a fanboy, because my honest opinion is that this release has been handled about as badly as it possibly could be, and every day it seems to get worse.

I speculate Carl is bending over backwards..... so as to NOT have me incarcerated to the confines of a NDA.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., knowing of my reportings/writings methodology. . . . . . in engineering/physics 'speak'. From a engineering technological advancement standpoint...…. this methodology is the preferred method. . . . . . . . of which benefits the C.D.E. and D.E.'s the most.

When a new metal detector was brought to light in the pages of a treasure magazine. Now it seems that a lot of people want all the answers before it even "hits the streets"

Getting a machine wasn’t nearly as easy either. We now want information on anything.... and it’s instantly available.... when it ain’t we get all bent out of shape lol. Cell phones... TVs.... streaming.....which should I choose and why?

Agreed, if you have one of those devices in your home you have wiretapped yourself vis-a-vis the government and left yourself very exposed to hackers!

You're exactly right Steve

With the massive increase of readily available information comes an exponentially increased growth of faulty information as well.
