I have my doubts. Looks like the owner is setting up a completely new forum, with a completely different software. One forum database doesn't usually transfer over to another. I hope I'm wrong.

Well, the last time it was supposed to be for a move to a new server. This is new software. The old software was ancient. The company quit/gave up and hadnt even released a new version in over 10 years. Most likely the old software couldnt even run on new servers reliably.

That same old software (Phorum) is also used to run this site. It still works, I guess, but is certainly showing its age.

I really hope findmall has a way to import the old messages into the new system. Phorum was quite popular in its day, so maybe the new software has an import utility for the data. Failing that, I at least hope they keep the old site up as a read-only archive. It has tons of useful information.

I tried logging in...no go. Incorrect password if says. I can still log in though, using the link you provided and was able to, using the other link on the "under construction" website.

Where is the "Lost Password " link?

When it told me that my password was incorrect, there was a link directly under the password login field.

I used the "lost password" link and had to do a reset. Works fine now, but I actually didn't forget my password. I used the same one anyway. Strange days indeed!

I think it just says something like "forgotten password" or some resemblence to that. It just look like words, its not a giant blinking box, but its a link you can click on.

I use Invision and they are going with Xenforo. However, designing for modern devices creates a certain convergence in look and feel so it's not unexpected. Hopefully not too much info gets lost in the process. A lot of great old Findmall threads have been getting lost the last few years, a loss for the entire detecting community. Anyway, I wish the luck with the move.... it's a ton of work.

Resizing was a main issue they were working on. With the new format and software took care of it.

Seems like no one can remember the password they used "yesterday" even if they had it saved on the computer.

They must have lost all the passwords. Mine no longer works either.

Its probably more of a security issue. They obviously were able to transfer the message database as well as the member data. Passwords would have likely been encrypted and not available for transfer. Just a guess based on the available info I can see.

Some little things are gone like the icon that would show if the post had a video or photos and as of now the links that indicate a video do not work. Don't know how new sent or received PM messages will be handled.

It did not like my password either. My guess is they did not move them over since the encryption method may be a different key.

Just click on Forgot My Password button, rest with a new one, same one, or supplied by Findmall one.

I had the same thing happen yesterday. A few hours after first log-in, I found I wasnt kept logged in. I haven't had any problems though, last night and this morning, all good. It may be a cookie thing.
