liked being able to see the length of time registered & number of posts members had on Findmall.-----With this new system you can no longer do that?

You can still do.
Click on username and look.
Number of posts
When joined.

Another observation.
According to Steve H. FM using different software vs his forum.
FM forum seems to load you tube links faster on average vs detector prospector forum.
And this is myself using same iPad to load to both forums.
Could be another reason causing though, not necessarily difference in software.

The envelope looking thingy.
In recipient’s name box, you start typing forum name, as you type more and more letters you will be able to quit typing and select mail recipient’ name.

The little light bulb thingy. Click on that and screen will either darken or lighten color wise.

To see at a glance if you have mail.
Watch for alert near envelope thingy.

To see if someone quotes you watch bell looking thing for alert. Click on bell when flagged and you can review the actual alert.

One nice thing about new software.
I think you can have actual multi person- more than 2 people discussion (conversation) using mail feature. So an interactive private conversation possible.

My password and login still don't work. I have tried resetting it but it then says my email is not recognized as belonging to an existing member. I only have ever had 1 email so who knows.

I had to re-registor to log in and post. The new forum doesn't bowl me over, by any means. HH jim tn

After several tries I did get the password changed. What I did wrong was not scrolling down on the reset page. There is a place to log in in the upper right corner. That is not the one. Scroll down and you will find the reset password thing to fill out.

I am taking the opportunity to call it quits over there. I tried to keep interest by staying active on the Nox threads, but they just recycle the same questions. Being half way kicked out for years I am sure I will not be missed. In fact detecting has been non existent in my life for quite some time. Other hobbies and work consume my time. See you on the vintage stereo forums.

Kemper seems to be keeping a low profile and making "normal" posts for the moment. Lets see how long it takes him to revert back to full Kemper mode and become a PIA again.

I always wondered what happened to Bryce on the Explorer forum? It was just weird the way he disappeared? I know his father was sick at the time but thought he would at least give a goodbye being he was the forum monitor for so long. I really enjoyed his posts. He seemed like genuinely good guy.

My wife has a late 70's, JVC Jax-9 quad amplifier 800 watts per channel in a shop, the guy had it for over 2 months. When I got a hold of him he said he couldn't get the part for it, bummer.
He said it is a good powerful unit. I hope to get it repaired in the future. Odd,,he referred me to another electronics shop about an hour away. Would that unit be considered vintage?

Bryce is still kicking, just not on the forum. Still doing personal training, etc. I assume he's still detecting, though not sure.

I don't recall much anymore about Bryce's Findmall departure, but there was some words and jealously involved....as I recall. Glad to know he is still around.

That's a shame Bryce left FM. He was probably the most skilled relic hunter I've ever seen with an Explorer (sorry TomCA). Some of the feats he pulled off and documented with his Exploder were pretty amazing, and pretty much unmatched.

He seemed like good people, likely some blowhard on the forum caused him more grief then was worth sticking around for. There's always some miserable SOB that tries to force their shitty world on you.

Bryce is still around.----His mother passed away somewhat earlier & he took it very hard.---Then his father passed away (later on).----His dad liked the Whites XLT (thought the FBS machines were too heavy).----Bryce was amazing with the Explorers--liked the SE the best.----I don't think he detects much anymore (if at all).----He poured his heart out for Findmall & in the end was treated VERY shabbily (IMO).---Most of that happened after the debut of the CTX.---I always liked Bryce--he is a really nice guy & same age as my oldest son.----We still talk via email once in awhile.----He's still into the fittness training.--------Del
