I like the simplex, have to say so far it is probably the best bargain on the market.
Mute option was a godsend but a double edged sword - Stops the annoying chatter, but don't forget to unmute it when you start detecting again ! I was swinging a full 2 minutes thinking wow, what a quiet field then I remembered. That would be bad enough but it happened 2 more times, really easy to forget.
