Right on Ozzie!!!
And folks such as Tom and Keith will adjust their views on equiptment as their experience changes AND they will report this to the forum--even though this may run counter to what they had earlier reported--they don't cling to their"truths" just because at a certain stage they reported it as such.

To be fair, I'm sure Tom knew from user experience when he said it wasn't for 'blanket of nails' , and Keith's test show more large iron than nails, while Aarons 'nails above coin test' wasn't conclusive in my eyes.
So for me personally it's a waiting game to see more tests and vids that would make it a better choice of detector than what i currently use.

If we're using finds as the measure of a machine then the Hoover Boys and their AT Series detectors have you beat by 100 country miles.

I have been in this game under 5 yrs.... you have been at it forever...according to YOUTUBE whos opinion is more relevant today in 2020????

Yes I am! more cross checking a few machines actually on Tarsacci targets in the field.Last couple of months I've been hunting with MDT so X is more of a gauge right now as Is T-2 and FBS.

Well I have been restrained as of late posting here in this thread.

So now I will weigh in.
I think any sensible semi- experienced to more experienced detectorist wants any edge they can get (as long as it is monetarily within reason).

So when folks talk about detectors I truly think they want to know what does X model do better than Y model.

Go pro cameras are available. Folks can show strengths and weaknesses comparing different model detectors.
No one I don’t think wants to pay big money for snake oil. I know I don’t.

I think and I think NASA Tom has said Eqx and Deus (plus the wired version of Deus ( Goldmaxx power) are what new released detectors should be compared to see any additional performance advantages, not a Technetics T2 or F75 as these are inferior iron separating/unmasking) performers.

Now the price a detector costs does become part of the equation. Like a cheaper detector may indeed come up short vs a more expensive detector.

Bottom line talk is cheap.
Get the camera out show real world comparisons over BOTH test garden targets and targets located in the wild. Dig the targets in the wild show folks and give any info you can as far as target size, orientation, depth, etc.

This all takes time. I know because I have done. Can be painstaking too.
Folks should notice trends that take place.
If enough folks do this a real good picture of what a detector can do (over different ground) will be shown to folks.

In closing there are three things I will never do.
These are not in any particular order.

1) Lie to you
2) Steal from you
3) Sell my soul to the devil.

I don’t have loads of you tube subscribers. Don’t care really. I am human, do other things than detect, and try and share things to help folks. And I haven’t charged anyone a penny for all my time and efforts doing vidoes and posting.

Everyone have a nice day.

A video doesn't guarantee truth, any more than a text description of a machine's performance does. You have to trust the narrator when he says "this target is buried N inches deep in my test garden". You also have to trust that he didn't edit out any tests that didn't go the way he expected/wanted. No matter how a detector's performance is shown or described, it all comes down to how much you trust the presenter.

Well said TNSS.
Re: Deep Tech Vista X thoughts, tests, etc

Testing ..... I believe in the test of Mr. Keith, Mr. Monte,
Mr. David / TNSS /, and Mr. Calabash Digger ...

Everyone tests in a different detection environment, or terrain mineralization ... But their tests are fair .. and they practically show what the detector can do in that given terrain ...

It is normal for individual detectors to give different results in such a variety of test environments .... ,,, I Accept it ...

I have my own low mineralized test field ... which is similarly low mineralized, and I can use the detector settings there similarly ..... and achieve very similar test results as Mr. Tom-Nasa, or Mr. Calabash Digger. ...
I Accept it...

If I test on higher and very high mineralization 4bar Fe3o4, .. or 7bar Fe3o4 ..., or in separation tests ..
I see that ... my tests .are the test results of Mr. Kheith ...,Mr. Steve Herschbach ..., Mr. Monte ...,Mr. Abenson and ...Mr. Daniel TN ....
I Accept it...

P.S .... Thank you to Mr. Monte ...for sending his Orginal Nailboard performance test ... ,, now I see that the American nails are different in terms of rormer but also in weight from the European dimension of the nails ... I believe that it will clarify and especially "Standardize" my separation tests of detectors ...

Now Vista X ..... even though I do separation tests of detectors and after debugging GB exactly on the terrain on which I test ...
at Deeptech Vista Gold Gain30 khz I get significantly better separation when I turn the GB controller for 9 hours ... then Vista Gold Gain separates perfectly even with a low height of sweeping the coil over the nails ...

The Staffordshire Treasure Hoard (worth millions) was found by a Whites Eagle Spectrum. A detectorists skill and equipment are only a small percentage of success. Location, Location, Location. Research is the key, not to mention, just plain luck.....Lol

The Staffordshire Hoard could gave been found with any detector or with no detector the few hundred pieces that Terry Herbert found were only 2 inches deep or so and some were sticking out so eyes only for them the many other thousands of pieces were found by the archaeologists.

I found 100 buckles and plates using a Whites 4900 in all metal mode. Just a fact jack. My two partners said I really sucked when I got the First Blue Eagle. Became a meter watcher instead of a listener. Bad George Bad.
