Guess What's Suppose To Happen Tomorrow?

It has good modulated audio at least as that deeper target sounded sweet to my ears.
I take it is not submersible?

Anyone catch the price/performance yet? That will be a critical factor in how popular it will be.

yes! they are number 1 because of the sales record of the ace series!
lots of people love 'em..they got quite a "slush fund" built up from those sales,
and they still have good design engineers. unfortunately,whitey's "treading water"
and spent all their "old money" hope they still got some "slush money" to get involved!

Seems to totally be a VNQ play, which IMHO, would indicate that there's a larger move down the road once the ACE rollout is complete.

I like what I see, especially the mid-size search coil. Being just water resistant is fine with me because I rarely beach hunt and the 2 times that I did, I only got knee deep in the water. I see that they have Z-Lynk built into the control housing, now I'm wondering if they were smart enough to make it were a Z-Lynk receiving module would link with it because I really don't like wearing full cup headphones in the summer months.

Yes that imaging is interesting. I always wondered if it could cut down the odds on digging a gold ring some? I almost bought one when it first came out but opted for the Whites XLT instead as liked the metal box design better.

I would only assume there's more to come.Apex Pro model?True all metal mode,Finer iron resolution range, waterproof.The design may already be waterproof just needs the gaskets?Maybe different coil connector.

Garret cant offer multi freq and expect to keep selling Single freq's higher priced.

I'll admit the audio in the video sounds pleasing.Beep shallow, modulated fuzzier deeper.

Weight is 2.5 lbs probably a lot like swinging a Deus. I really like the design of it. The tones are very pleasing to the ears. Garrett has always made solid built detectors. Depending on the performance this could be like Brent said a game changer. At 499 without the headphones it's priced the same as the Vanquish 540 pro pack and looks a whole lot better. Will be interesting to see how garrets smf platform works compared to minelabs. If it's as good or better garret will have done it again like they did with the at pro many years ago. I am sure we will see an AT Apex soon that is fully waterproof in the 600 to 800 range.

not sure about that, but he says it is very, very accurate on both junk, and coins
he is truly amazed!.i am somewhat puzzled, because it seems to me, when it was introduced quite some time ago,
it didn't really sell all that well. guys should have been " all over it!" but from what i can see this was NOT the case! maybe they went after the 2500 but one doesn't see too much info on IT either
at least garrett still offers it!

Very, VERY impressed with this video.
Garrett (Brent) is fully onboard with todays demands...…...and ……. it looks like Vaughn is in full lockstep with Brent.
I am elated. And for many reasons.
It certainly targets the VNQ and Simplex+. But...…… that is not what is important. What really stands out is: It's a Flagship. It is low cost. It is high performance. It trumps all other Garrett detectors in the General Purpose arena. (And many other non-Garrett units).

I'm... agog at that video. I was expecting superficial improvements with the Apex. But it seems that Garrett is taking the competition seriously. Game on!

I watched the above video and have a question. I still don't get is the SMF all Frequencies or just two? It sounds like he is saying only two but maybe I misunderstood? I do love the audio modulation and sounds like it is adjustable along with iron volume with 8 levels of adjustments. And for people complaining it is not submersible it will be trust me as they probably want to sell the rest of the AT-Pro stock first. Garrett is on the ball. It is good to see American made back in the game.

He said the there are two smf modes, beach and regular that run in a range of frequencies ehanced for the mode you are in

Apex going to be as deep or deeper than The Vanquish / Nox ? .............Apex going to have that Annoying audio, like The Infamous Max.

To me the audio sounds sweet on those deeper hits. It has a analog type modulation to my ears. I think it has 8 levels of adjustment along with iron audio? That is cool as hell of it does.

One thing I've not seen anywhere is when this machine is expected to be released/available for purchase. I would like to have someone who gets their hands on one confirm for me that the shaft system is the same one (diameters/sizes, etc.) that is used on the current AT- and ACE series machines. If so, I have a carbon-fiber alternative already available...

I see that the control box is yellow, the rest of the machine black. Seems that black carbon fiber, or yellow, or some combination, might work well. I'm attaching a picture of a couple of styles of yellow carbon-fiber tubes, that might work well with the Apex.

Anyone have any info on the release date?
