When you dig an 11 inch dime.

Going back next week to dig the all elusive gold coin. Gonna chase all the super low signals.

Not one of the so called OLE timers on this forum has said man that was pretty good for the Equinox.
All these so called reports of 10 inch dimes dug and I show one on tape that is close to 11 and all I get is negative nellies.

This little elite crew (you know who you are) on here is about useless to help out a new comer or a person interested in the hobby.

I am glad I am not the type of person that needs moral support from you guys....

REMEMBER I am out finding the goods on a regular basis when MOST sites have been hammered and permissions are way harder to come by than back in the OLD days when targets were laying all over the top of the ground.

Elite crew on here is useless to pass the torch of knowledge on to the next generation of treasure hunters.

Thank God we have the internet and some treasure hunters who are willing to share ...Not one person has asked about my settings or the signal etc....like I said useless in passing on the torch of knowledge.. useless

Thank you Tom , Sharpshooter, Cal cobra, and others for your informative post on the Equinox.

George I think you said you found 600 military buttons in your career... I have found close to 150 in 4 years... I might be on pace to catch you before I fly off to heaven.. I am on the hunt for two more Confederate camps as we speak.. I will call you when I locate the virgin camps and let you know how many 10 inch targets I am digging! lol

Fair enough.. Now get 5 gold coins and 150+ belt plates and 3 id tags.Fill up a jar with Spanish and you will be in like flint. In the end the finds are not what was important to me. It just happens. The research and the anticipation leading up to the hunt is what I believe really matters to me. I hope you surpass me. If you can good for you.Stay safe and well.

Calabash,
I'm glad you brought settings up because I wanted to ask in the YouTube comments, but you've disabled them.
So...what were your settings?

It's hard to teach someone who knows it all already.

I think you know your stuff Cal but you belittle peoples metal detectors ( Vista X + AT-PRO and Gold) and act kind of like the bully we have all had to deal with in school. Calling people out on here and what not brings out the calabashing on you. I appreciate your enthusiasm and your knowledge that you share in your videos. I know I've learned stuff from watching them. But I wish that all of this drama would stop and all of us would treat each other with respect even though we may not always see eye to eye on things.

They may not be super low. I tested a few with my Vanquish; numbers should be very close on the Nox:

1849-0 $1.00: 11-12
1911 $2.50: 15-16
Canadian $5.00 (similar to U.S. $5): 18

All were air tests with coins lying flat... mineralization, nearby trash etc. may affect the reading. But if you're already digging buttons, you probably would dig these as well.

If you had a outdated CZ-3D you would only have to dig high tones to get the most circulated gold coin a 5.00 gold piece as still only detector to high tone on one I believe? But I know at a Civil war camp more likely to find 1.00 gold coins. Just saying the
CZ-3D still has some unique capabilities.

I have been on these hunts with Cal I can attest to everything he does ! The dime he dug the other day with me was the best hole I have ever seen him dig to get that seated dime.I doubted him when he thought he had something and boy did he prove me wrong. The Equinox is a deep silver seeker no doubt in my mind at all. In mild soil I don't think any machine is any deeper based on what I have seen.

You are welcome Calabash.
Keep detecting and posting videos.
You seem about as passionate as any one else here.
Some folks pick stuff up faster than others.
It’s not all about experience.
If this were the case we would hand the super bowl title to the team with most experiments.
Of give the golf masters trophy (and green jacket) to the most experienced golfer in the tournament.

Yeah when young Tiger came on the PGA wonder how many took him serious?
All those old timers didn’t realize what wa fixing to happen did they?
They all got their azzes beat and got intimidated for years by Tiger.

There are other examples too. Like a grocery bagger who later played in NFL as quarterback and won super bowl.

I dealt with this mess my whole time in the military.
When they saw a a young 29 year old walking around and wearing lot of stripes they thought sure this dude is greenhorn and is in over his head. We’re they right?
I’ll let you folks guess.

In the meantime I’ll keep reading here off on on as time allows.

Cheers.
