New Equinox upgrade

New Equinox upgrade

Has anyone tried the new 3.03 firmware upgrade? I just downloaded it from the Minelab website. It adds 4kHz in addition to the other frequencies and includes some "stability" upgrades. I am interested in Nasa Tom's insight on these. I hope everyone is well!

Seems like it was an improvement in stability for sure, it was slamming that 8"silver. Can't wait to get out with it.

I can't get it to download now. I tried going to the Minelab website and it still lists the old software utility. Not sure if it's been pulled down or where the original link came from.

That link isn't working for me. Fails and starts over at about 6MB. Think Minelab pulled it down. If you go to the Minelab website and look it still only shows the old software.

Go to MInelab.com. You should see two downloads... Mac and Windows. Download and then hit save. Should be able to open it from you download folder. Worked just fine.

The only download available on the minelab website is the old 2.0.1 update utility. I can only find the 3.0 update in the link ghound posted and that download fails before it finishes. Am I the only one having that problem? Might need to clear my browser cache.

Get rid of your cookies[delete them] then go back to the Minelab site.

Ctrl-F5 will also clear browser cache, and show latest content.

Tried with three different browsers with the same results. When I go to minelab.com and look under equinox 800 downloads it isn't there. The link is (https://www.minelab.com/metal-detectors/equinox-800). When I use the link in ghounds post that I linked to earlier it is a different address (https://www.minelab.com/usa/equinox-software-update-3-0)

Ghounds link is the correct address to download the latest updater.

However, here is a direct link to the windows download .... click on this:
[www.minelab.com]

If that direct link doesn't work for you, you've got some kind of computer and/or internet problem.

Yes that link is the same one in ghounds post. It is working now. Probably over loaded yesterday. Servers will start kicking people off if too many are downloading at the same time. I was trying to figure out how to get to the new software through the Minelab website. It isn't there yet. That's where the confusion was coming from. Tried with three different browsers and two operating systems. Thought I was in the twilight zone.
