Tesoro Sand Shark Repair?

Can anyone recommend a repair center that I can possibly send my Sand Shark to? It looks like the headphone cable close to the control box has chaffed to the point where I can see an exposed wire, and I fear salt water may have gotten into the control box. I just put fresh batteries in it and tried to fire it up, and I get nothing at all. The Sand Shark is my backup detector, my Equinox 800 was just sent in due to water intrusion, and now my backup detector is dead as well...

Funny you should ask. Greg from Transbay Detectors and I were talking yesterday about that. I think he mentioned the only person he knows of servicing Tesoro’s is in the UK. I think they have a website, but can’t remember. Give Greg a call maybe he knows....

Is Rusty Henry still in business as a detector dealer? Or has he retired?
He would be about age 73 now.

He was Tesoro's service manager, but also a Tesoro dealer and all around good guy.

I saw someone post in April, 2018, that he had left Tesoro, which told many of us
that rumors of Tesoro's upcoming demise were probably true. But if he's still
selling and/or servicing detectors, he would know how to repair a Sand Shark,
and he might have parts if anyone does.

His shop was called Rusty's Detectors, in Prescott, AZ.
