That seems strange with the cable bigger on one side than the other side.

Starting with the CTX, then the EQX and now the Vanquish, Minelab must have found a great deal of improvement in signal transmission and signal “cleanliness” to stick with the converter chip in the coil. HOW much? It would have to be quantified somehow. It makes the aftermarket pretty much non-existent but we know this...
I gather that the larger diameter winding is the receiver coil?
