How do you feel, is there a need for a Classified site?

How do you feel, is there a need for a Classified site?

Now that the Treasure Classified Forum is no longer up.
Been toying with the idea of starting a site, where registered sellers could list treasure items for sale.
No listing fees. Few restrictions.
A bit more friendly to use and list.

Not sure if a new site is warranted with ebay, tons of Facebook seller groups and almost every forum having a For sale section.

What do you think?

If i was to buy a detector, i would rather buy from member here than e bay or someone you don't know.

Go for it Sven.---I think there is a need now at this point in time.----A couple of sites have closed out & Findmall is a bear to get around in now that they have "fixed" the system.

I'd say there is a need. People can say what they want about the extinct Treasure Depot, but I had a lot of fun buying and selling on that site. Fee-Bay is sketchy......some sellers don't know if the detector properly works. Returns are a hassle. Illegal shill bidding, on Feebay, is incredibly common and takes away the auction idea.....used things that are supposely bid and won are relisted multiple times from the same seller. In the end a waste of time. Would rather buy from friends anyway. Thanks

I didn't know that Treasure Classifieds closed down. When did that happen? I was a sponsoring vendor there, with my shaft business, and was never notified that the site was closing down...

Joe had a stroke, Steve. Said he would be in rehab for about a month. Haven't heard anything else from him. I think he plans on putting the site back online once he's doing better.

Correct me if I'm wrong....Treasure Depot and Treasure Classifieds are two different sites. I also have bought some on Friendly Metal Detecting Forum. Thanks

Good idea, but many wont know its out there. Those who go to forums normally sell there. New people........ look for forums but now days seems to be moving to FB. I try to buy local thru market place, FB, CL and friends. I can at least get my hands on the machine.

I had many transactions on treasure depot and I really miss that site, It would be great to have another site like the depot.

Would want to know all the rules and stipulations, I am a dealer but from time to time I wheel and deal my own personal items.

Sounds Good Sven if you have the time to run it.

Ebay can be hit and miss with what you get and the sellers fees now are over the top.

I was going to sell my Safari and some accessories on ebay then they started that mandatory BS tax stuff. I hope beyond hope that it kills them.
So yeah, I'd frequent your site, Sven. Happy to pay a sales commission to a site by a fellow detectorist.

Thanks for visiting my website, I get about 2200+ visits a month from around the world. So there could be a good mix of folks who may want to list items for sale, buy, trade.
Did post a notice on my update page what I would like to do, should draw some interest.

DeepTech Vista X with 3 search coils.
