Those jugs are beauties. Some of my best finds scuba diving back in the 90's in Lake Erie/ Buffalo Harbor were the stoneware bottles and jugs.

I've done some water hunting, but just wading in a lake, the scuba aspect would open an entirely new world, good on you for taking the journey, it's paying off in spades!

Nice jugs dude. Saw your YouTube video about FM banishment. Last night was our metal detecting club meeting. One of the guys brought up Garrett purchasing some of the White's patents, the guy behind me said "Maybe they'll finally make a machine that doesn't suck." Oh snap!

That is a little rough! I’m not a Garrett guy(besides pinpointers) but they have certainly found their share of finds for people! We are as divided about brands as the country is about candidates right now...

Plain and simple test in my mild ground....Other brands run circles around them on depth and separation...

I draw my conclusions about Garrett Detectors from that set of facts....I never judge a detector by finds......tie a pinpointer to a stick and hand out 20 million of them and some GREAT finds will be made as metal is a game of odds.

If Garrett makes you happy by all means stick with that brand....

I need the best performance for what I do I spend thousands of dollars a year on trips and gear and I am not gonna be handicapped by a lesser performing machine.

To be fair some just want to go to the local park and dig up a few clad coins and Garretts will do that just fine....
