If it adjusts it moves .... if it moves it wears on a beach. Even in the dry sand if its damp down there or you dig shells you can put a lot of pressure on those scoops. Plus its a little bulky looking on top of the scoop because of the adjust-ability. For beach hunting it seems the ole KISS method often works beast. It appears to be more a dry sand scoop and the price is good. Congrates on expanding.....

How much of a beating will/can this scoop take in the surf?
A lot of moving parts?

I'm trying to see if it has a kickplate.

It must be extremely heavy with all those parts.

What is the purpose of the adjustable angle?

I just measured my stainless Stealth 920i scoop: 13.5" x 9" x 6"

Yes....... I would say the Nokta/Makro scoop would be a ideal travel scoop....... or a great dry-sand scoop. (You need a bigger scoop for the wet-sand).

I like to hunt the wet slopes and wave breaking areas. You need a large scoop that can remove sand quickly. This looks like a very nice dry sand scoop. The basket design is great for dry sand. Less shaking adds up to less fatigue over the hours of a hunt.

Amazing - Lots of opinions on yet ANOTHER offering from Nokta-Makro.
I don't know about you but I am stoked that Nokta-Makro have a comprehensive array of accessories.
Something foreign to what we have been accustomed to from the US manufacturers.
It may NOT be the best beach scoop in the world but it compliments their product line as do
their other accessories.

Well done Nokta-Makro

We are not dogging Nokta but us people who use scoops in the ocean are picky
about our scoops. A scoop will beat our ass in the surf if it not right.

This does not appear to be a IN THE WATER scoop.... more dry sand fast sift. Im just not sure the adjustment is needed vs the weight/hardware added. KISS and sturdy..... and most certainly ability to travel with it. Wet sand and in the water i prefer 1/2" holes .... you have to catch those little targets. Chains as an example they often are found ALMOST out of the scoop with 1/2" holes youd likely never get um out of the water with those size holes. That said, im most certainly not beating them up either i like new ideas toward a better mouse trap... but dont change what works, work on what doesnt. You have earned and became a very respected brand.

Does anyone know how to contact Dilek? I would like to check with her on dimensions of the "sleeve," where the handle attaches to the scoop (with an eye toward possibly designing, and then adding, a carbon-fiber sand scoop handle to my product lineup, that would fit this Nokta/Makro scoop).

Thanks!

RR -- Socket, that makes sense, thanks. Not being a beach hunter, I guess my "terminology" is off! winking smiley

Thank you!
