I thought that would get something going!-----I sure don't have the authority to delete anybodys account.---I (and I'm sure many others) would much rather hear about & see metal detecting finds than some bottle hunting venture (especially with the fact that this is a metal detecting forum).

Love those bottles. That one with the bottom broken out , the blue design, how old is that ? Mid 1800's?

I like seeing bottle finds. Metal detecting and bottle hunting go together.

Yep, I love old bottles too. Have an old bottle dump on my property. Nothing as old as calabash's but they're cool. I like old pottery, marbles, all the things that are dug up from the past.
DP-OR, what's up? Speaking for others at a guess is a bit out of line. Mason jar lids is what we don't like unless they are attached to a jar. lol

My guess would be mid-1700's, possibly earlier.

Oh yeah I am sorry I am thinking later 1700s on that style...I need to look at the style chart again used to date them..

I like to see old bottles too!.especially the black onion shaped ones!
the one you found before was just a "super" find! not easy diving in cold ,dirty water
it can be really nasty, and dangerous.you deserve recognition for makin some great finds!

Nah---I'm up on yah just a leeetle El.----Turned 82 (Feb. 15th).-----Hey--I'm orderin me a pack of those chill pills from Don!---Want me to order you any?--They're on me!---I'm havin him send cabash three packs--might help with all that screamin & hollerin he's doin (caps).---Myself, I think cabash (for the most part) does pretty good detector vids--I enjoy most of them.----Also he makes (some) pretty logical statements.----But--he's such an excitable young man with such a temper--he really needs to learn some dry humor & how to smile a little.----That's my view from my rockin chair anyway.-----Let me know on those chill pills.---------Del

Guess my opinion here not much good, I am only 58 and holding. Lol
The way I see the bottle finds is,,,anything that will keep folks interest and hopefully build some camaraderie is ALL good. Or should be.
