Detector Prospector

Steve's Detector Prospector site has been down for a few days, anybody know why?

I am glad you posted this; I've been unable to log in, but I assumed the issue was on my end -- as I could reach the site, but I just couldn't log in. Is this the problem you are having, or something else?

Correction. I can't reach the site at all now...

Each time I try, I get a white page that says "We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now."

It started with not being able to log on to just an error now. I think the forum owner is traveling ATM and no one else has the credentials to fix it.

Im surprised since Steve has been on here that he hasnt posted with a little info. Its still down..... or ive been banned lol.

You're not alone. I haven't been able to get in for several days too, either as a member or guest.
Looks like we'll just have to wait until Steve H. can put it back together.

Sent Steve a PM from FMDF as he is also a member there, but have not heard back.
Does he do Facebook??

Steve is out prospecting in the desert for a couple/three weeks. He'll be back early/mid August unless he cuts it short.

steveg, That's the impossible trick. If you could, you'd be a hot commodity. Good luck prospecting and watch out for snakes and scorpions .. .. and the heat.

It was an inopportune time for his forum to go down, but I'm sure he will get it back up and running when he returns. I don't think it will be for a couple of weeks, though...

Ha Ha! How did I get that mixed up. .. . and think that I was internally proud of you for trying something different, too funny.

Sounds like Steve needs to add some additional moderators/admins to his site.

Seems like it's been back online for some folks for nearly a day, though not for me, I checked a few hours ago and got the 'error' page. But it's consistently on now, anyway. Hopefully it's a one-off, and not some dodgy hard-drive that's failing intermittently etc.

It's back on for me.

Sounds like you may possibly be having a caching issue...

Perhaps clearing your cache will take care of your specific issue?

Hmm, probably was something like that. I played around with quite a few things, but it was a link from Google that worked, then it seemed to stay working after that. I logged out, and logged in again, that all seemed to be trouble-free, too.
