Why do in feel like Nokta Makro copy other manufacturers? This new one has alot of similarities of the equinox. The simplex I feel had alot of similarities to the deus, Fast mode (park 2) deep (park 1) pitch mode (field) same shape shaft. The lower rod on the simplex fits in the deus and it's an odd shape. No other manufacturers use that shape for the shaft as far as I know. So I'm guessing they copy electronics also which is why they can get new detectors to market faster. Change some cosmetics, copy electronics and bam new detector. The first ones were alot like Fisher, now nox with deus in between. Lol. Am I wrong?

Why do all SUV cars look similar in design........................................? Why are most cars, trucks black, white or gray?

Also, if you look at the progression of detectors from the beginning, they all look basically similar in design, feature set and performance.
So who is copying who.

I kind of agree if your going to copy whatever but then sit there and take pot shots at the company you stole from in the video is lame.

Here goes.

I don't like product intro videos where other manufacturers model are shown. To me this goes against ethics somewhat at least.
Ok for manufacturer to have some of its own previous release along with the new in the video.

Guess I could say, where Minelab went wrong was not dropping physically the Nokta Impact out of plane with out a chute attached then let the dude come out with parachute holding on to Nox.

The nox ain't been out that long.
If Nokta Makro has indeed made a SMF detector that performance wise meets and or exceeds Eqx 800 performance at locating actual nonferrous though use of tone in all of the different possible venues when comparing each with 11" coil., if this turns out to be true. Then IMO Nokta Makro is indeed atop of Minelab in the vlf detector industry. Hence forth if and when another smf is release by Minelab one would assume Notka Makro could match or exceed this newer model in short order too.
Or just maybe Nokta Makro should be establishing the bar instead of Minelab.

Oh yeah, and then there is this little company called XP. Don't forget them. They may not have Nokat Makros attention like Mine lab since it seems the new XP release may indeed be more costly.

I'll watch and see how this all unfolds.

I also noticed seems some poking was done by Minelab naming their tech in EQX.
Hard for me to understand the why behind this.
Gues though if you only have one model smf detector then why would a manufacturer have to name. Be hard to get confused when talking wouldn't it??
Yeah, naming the tech. Like Minelab did. Ever wonder how all the engineer,,etc at Minelab keeps the communications straight when sharing/ discussing info since they indeed have more models of SMF detectors.
Their naming their tech helps the consumer, engineers, ect, I think.

I haven't seen anyone else mention the fortuitous locales of the 2 Naming contest winners. NM is aiming wide & deep.

Precisely.
Alright to make comments referring to a competitor models as just that the competition.
Like I think folks will be very surprised at how the Legend stacks up to competitors SMF models.
And I think purchasers of Legend with cameras who indeed own some of the competitor smf models will be able to clearly show via videos when comparing Legend to the competition.

We never expect a manufacturer's marketing to trash their own model detector. And likely not disclose any of its weaknesses.
So let the detector (purchasers) do the talking.

In today's world. With YouTube,,etc. a dud will be called a dud quick. A great detector will be labeled as just that. Yeah there will always be a few one offs (opinions) I call them. But what does the consensus say. This is what counts.

I hope with the component shortages, that this doesn't defer too longas far as the general detecting public getting some real good truthful feedback on the Legend.

I agree about the price, especially considering the recent collapse of the Turkish Lira. This thing should be priced like a Vanquish, unless it can decisively outhunt an Equinox, which I sincerely doubt. Minelab has had decades to perfect simultaneous multi-frequency. Nobody is likely to beat their performance on the first try.

These new machines From Minelab, Deus and Makro are great for you relic hunters, but when are they gonna do something for us coin hunters? R&D from these companies need to work on something to compete with FBS technology.

I paid 800 for the EQ800 when it came out so price is close and seems like a value at that price. Performance will tell. Chinese aren't the only ones who can back engineer a MD. I guess in some ways it would come down to the algorithm used. I will let you know when I get mine. Is it possible the designing was done in Turkey and built somewhere else cheaper? I have been greatly disappointed in beach finds this year so going to do some coin hunting inland during the winter. Not too much for relic hunting like I was when first in hobby. Found dusting to be a problem lol
