You need to know the 10k earring back was a wild find by the Deus2 in the first place.

Dew...... my apologies. I had run out of time...... and could not respond to all.
To answer your statement/question; yes, I would like to test the Deus-2..........and answer a lot of questions for forum members......and...... a host of my very own questions that are mostly based on engineering/physics/geophysics and platform-based accolades (and potential engineering errors)......such as:
A-D converter & Demodulator SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio).......... wet-salt blowback/flyback/feedback. (Amplitude levels).
Ground Balance quiescent wet-salt bandwidth-of-acceptability.
Mid/low-conductor (like a U.S. 3-Cent Nickel......approx circa 1869) target ID accuracy ....at various depths... IN the wet-salt 'splash-zone'.
Algebraic phase-angle algorithm(s).... (and subsequent bandwidth error) qualitative analysis IN the wet-salt.
EMI bandwidth AMOUNT of mitigation abilities.......and frequency-span mitigation abilities.
Pinnacle coil velocity on small-sized low-conductors.
Coil microphonics err level in wet grass.
Large silver coin on-edge ID.
Perpendicular coil sweep UP the slope....and DOWN the slope.....stability check...on the wet-salt slope.
I am a (light) coil scrubber........... and many platforms can NOT handle this....whilst swept on wet-salt. . . . . unless Sens is dropped a fair amount.
What is highest level allowable Sens setting whilst lightly scrubbing wet-salt.
IN deeper saltwater stability testing......(and depth/performance capabilities-limitations).
Transition zones SNR......ie: transitioning from (saltwater) wet-sand.....to damp-sand. Transitioning from wet-sand....to the 'splash'. Transitioning from the 'splash' zone.....INto the water. Deeper water stability.
Wet slope Ground Balance & Salt Balance. IN deeper water Ground Balance & Salt Balance. (And analyzation of the 'delta/difference' herein).
Sudden (violent) instability bandwidth..... when (say) Sens is increased from '97' to '98'..........on the wet-slope. And again..... IN deeper water. (Some detectors........when you adjust Sensitivity up....just one point....the World flips up-side-down......and total useless instability incurs.

.........and a HOST of other tests.

((( I do NOT want to overload David & David with my selfish quest(s); hence, my NOT requesting of them. )))!!!

Look at Deus 2 big silver coins on edge ID.

David....... THANKS for this test!
I am REALLY curious why.......many times.......when the coil made its FIRST pass over the silver dollar...... NO audio was reported. Coil height appeared to be good.

(((Also -and you don't have to do a video- ...... SLOWLY rotate your body around the silver dollar whilst sweeping. There {usually} is a blind-spot when you are ----18-Degrees to 20-Degrees---- away from perpendicular (and sometimes parallel) to the sweeping of a large silver coin on-edge))).

The reason for the no reporting at times when sweeping the coins on edge. I had auto scan on. Hence when I switched modes (programs) there is a delay (no reporting) until auto scan (noise cancel) is complete. Around 2 seconds. I was trying to hurry so video would be so long.

I will do test slowly rotating around US Silver dollar. And post video here. Will check only park and deep high conductor programs. And see what happens.

User in field does need to be mindful of the delay (when auto scan is enabled) and give time before proceeding sweeping detector. I like the feature btw.

Tom, this info should be added to the manual, never mind the Equinox thread smiling smiley

It's this kind of post from you that keeps me coming back. Never stop!

Tim...... thanks.

But there are very few folks that appreciate my (geek) overly technical posts!

There are plenty of other places on the net for them.

This forum is different and the content stands out from the rest.

Don't kid yourself Tom, there are way more that appreciate your technical post's that don't. A lot of us are quiet achievers that sit back and absorb your golden information. Keep it coming. Thanks

Thanks guys. But please understand: I see nearly "zero visibility" of this. Plus.........very few folks post anymore.
I am not wanting this site to be a "blog".

I hope all the more quiet members will not let the "hot topic of the month", what ever it may be, cause them to be hesitant in posting "other" content. Most of us can do more than one thing at a time.

I will venture a guess that this forum is solely responsible for cutting my learning curve by at least half .. every question I've had is answered somewhere here in print .. I find it much easier, more thought provoking and satisfying to understand and explore, or weed through the 'geekyness' than the "he said this" found elsewhere on the interweb

never question what this forum is .. it is its own unique master class
