Relic mode, Deus2, is the winner in the depth category between the EQ-800 and the Legend. I would have guessed it would have been Deep HC mode. He buried that halfpenny about 16" deep.
That's with the 9" coil on the Deus2 verses the 11" on the other units.. . . I am impressed.

That's a tremendous disadvantage with the Deus-2 being equipped with only the 9" coil......... and comparing it to other units with 11" coils.
Kudo's to Deus-2 for being on top..... and with a large handicap.

Not in our "wild west" ghost towns, gold camps, Logging & RR camps out here.---XP 9" & 9.5X5" coils "reign supreme".---11" coils are too large in these situations. NASA-Tom Wrote:

That's another test all together. This video was strictly a depth test. My money is on your statement in your scenario, though.
And . . . I'm pretty sure the Deus2 depth test in my soil would not fare as well . . . . I seriously doubt it will get past 10" here. I will test it when I get the chance.
If it gets 12" here I will do a backflip, HA! I wish.

But Ozzie your 'proper' CZ-3D will get past 10" on a dime in 'your' soil correct?

I wish Harold. In the soil on my property . . . even though it's NASA approved @ 12.2" on a dime, the CZ will barely hit a 10" dime or was it a 9" dime. . . been years since I ran it over the test garden.

I also don't recall if NASA Tom did an air test or a inert soil test for that 12.2 depth #.

Del....... I agree for YOUR conditions; yet, in the video (big open field)...... the 9" coil on the Deus-2 will suffer a performance/depth loss in this head-to-head comparison video. . . . . . . . . by NOT giving comparable 11"-to-11" data.

Steve....... the CZ-3D 12.2" depth data is in dirt!.....yet....... Florida inert dirt! (Very low minerals).
