NOX. 700 and 900.??

Question for TomD:

On the Equinox 900 max sensitivity is 28. Is this an extra "punch'" or "boost" in sensitivity? Or is it equal to the sensitivity of the 700 with finer tuning? What is the thought or premise behind this 3 point jump on the 900? Thank you - Jim

Jim......... Sens 1-25 on the 700 & 900 are identical.
The EQX-900 will go even higher than the 700...... by 3 additional Sensitivity points. This is ABOVE the 700.

Tom I was looking at the user manual for the NOX 900 as I picked up one while I wait on the MC. I live in Ohio and can you explain what the manual means when it says Field Profile 1 Coins and Artifacts and Profile 2 Fine Coins and Artifacts. What do they mean Fine? I've hunted with my 800 in Park 1 trying to figure out if I should be in Field or Park. The type of sites I hunt are 1800's 1 room schools/churches & Houses in fields. Some of the schools/churches/houses are still standing and not in use. But most are long gone. Thanks for any clarification.... Also what is the intent of the DP Audio setting on the 900 and when would one want to use it?

Mike...... "Fine" infers 'thin' and/or 'low conductor'. In your case..... you are not looking for thin, hammered, low-conductive 1/2-pennies. Park Mode-1 is your targeted intent.

DP Audio (Delta Pitch) is primarily (a Godsend) for the wet-salt beach. You would nearly never use/need it for inland/turf coin and/or relic hunting. (((If you prospect...... it would then be your choice))).
