Because the Vanquishes are not their "targets".
The white coats should also be comparing the xterra to the pro-finds too.

TN,thanks for posting the video...I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say your getting a machine with $269 dollars worth of performance... I can make any machine look good,or bad in my test bed,and in controlled tests ... You get in the field and find out the discrimination actually sucks,start digging lots of high toned trash,etc..I like minelab,but a $269 machine is still a $269 machine, bells & whistles don't equel performance

I hope your right,I hope for $269 we all see $1000 dollar performance and discrimination. Notice I keep saying discrimination, cause that's were these companies seem to suck at. Almost all newer machines released in the last few years are relic ,dig it all machines.. Minelab has the best discrimination in the business,FBS, ,,but they've left that behind I guess to appeal to the relic hunters

Sounds like the guy was using pinpoint mode to get the depth he wanted to get, hummmmm, All Metal??

Question for ya, in which video did you see him press the pinpoint button or have it in all metal mode to show the depth it’s getting ? The only time I see is when he is showing the pinpoint feature?

The video on beach I posted above was on the level. Not my video. But done by a NO BS kinda guy.
Use of pinpoint was not used to force the detector to sound off on the buried objects.

The X-Terra is it seems pretty good performer on salt beach for single freq ops. Not on par with EQX series, Manticore, or even XP Deus 2. Or even a Tarsacci unit (single freq).
X- Terra though doesn't cost what the other units I mention above cost.

I know. Hard to believe a $270 rig can do on salt beach what you saw on video.

Just have to see when I get my hands on it. Not a beach or park hunter, just relics. I hope Keith Southern tests one out.

Yes but he never did a Vanquish test video why not as be intresting to see if it can hit the same deep coins in the test garden.

I'll be getting one of these! I see it as being a well rounded don't need a engineer degree to operate it type of detectors. I always seem to have more fun with detectors like this opposed to one that you have 50 different settings to adjust and hope you are getting top performance out of it. I'd rather be detecting than adjusting and tweaking a machine half of the time I get to detect. And what you get for the price is amazing! I just hope that it does decent in my Georgia red clay!
