Meteorite?

Yesterday afternoon I found a piece of a meteorite.It's gray on the outside black inside.It's real dense,feels way heavier than rocks of similar size.My neighbors have a 9 1/2 pound meteorite piece I compared my piece to.The local college told them what it was.This is the second piece I've found in 2 years.Both have come from a big open field(I've been searching this field for an old fur trading post).The first piece was half the size of my fist.I'm going to take both of the pieces to the college science dept. and see if they can tell me if there meteorite.They are not magnetic.I found both pieces with the CZ 70.Bill
