Is findmall forum down or did I get the boot?

I think they are transferring to a new server, as they said they would be doing this.

Well, how you got on has me stumped. Just did a "ipconfig /flushdns" command. Tried my browser bookmark and also typed in www.findmall.com into search engine. No luck getting on. Unless the site is not fully re-loaded yet and only some members are getting access at this time (educated guess).
7:46pm MST - I just pinged Findmall server. All it does is time-out. Which means its not accessible.

Due to Findmall being slow to load for many or hang, it's been a big problem for Guv to take notice. An announcement was made that Findmall would be changing to a new server. That should put everything back to normal when completed. Apparently the forum itself grew to large for the current server to handle all the info and traffic..........

I was just kidding. I couldn't get on either.

Findmall is back up now.---At least I got on a couple of minutes ago.-----No new posts yet, looks like they must have just now got it running.

Sven, you may have to flush your DNS cache. Just Google it. A fairly simple procedure.

I'm running Linx, Ubuntu 10.04. loaded the program to clear the DNS, now cleared. Still can't access Findmall.
Will keep at it.

Can you post Findmall's web address, maybe a tad different and google hasn't picked up on it yet?
I'm getting several PM's from Findmall when I open up my emails, can't go to Findmall to answer.

I might be banned, still can't get on. Checked routers, IP address, pinged Findmall, tracer route. Tried wife's computer with Win 7. So it looks like my IP address may have been blocked.
Tracer stops at their server, can't get passed it to the forum.

Sven1, its possible that during the files transfer to a new server something got messed up. Why not have someone who has an account there PM the Guv, and ask the 64 dollar question.

Thought as much, not my loss, plenty of other forum sites. Probably due to my classified listing. Listed a Buy or Trade classified Silver Umax for a F5. Marked listed Found F5. So my 1 sale or trade listing in a 3 month period was exhausted. But the Silver was not sold. Guess I violated the policy by making a separate listing for the Silver which was promptly deleted by the mods. So I added it to my orig. for trade listing that it was still for sale. Thought it was OK because I bought the F5 from another forum, this one to be exact. I must be suspended for a few months as my PM email alerts from Findmall still come thru. Guess those guys won't get any answers.........................

Good news Freddie, Findmall Admin emailed me and said I was not suspended or banned. He's looking into the problem further as he doesn't see an issue with my IP address.
I am going to call my internet provider and see if they a cache at their end that needs deleting or some other problem.

Perhaps you are an expert on "boot licking" Steve Towell , and will be so kind as to post a tutorial for those of us who have never felt the need to try that approach to solving issues ????
