I mostly hunt in disc from 0 - 6 when i can with sen in 80s +
I have been using All Metal a little more as of late. The
manual calls it a so motion mode Ok but some deep targets
with a weak tone do not even show on screen untill you whip the coil
Then some ID #s show up .Have others seen this.
Air test in senerieo above dime ID was 40 at max tone depht so do
i dig a ID of 40 if is pinpoints at 12inches Thanks Mike
PS in disc mode the ID #s are added info but if it sounds good
i dig it. AM tones are a little harder to size the target.

Deeper depths of targets...... orientation of target....... minerals, co-location of primary target with other masking/partial masking/silent masking targets all play a role in so far as to how any metal detector will respond/ID a given target. All units have a difficult time ID'ing deeper targets. Most units will start to ID deep targets closer to the iron ID range.
