Did some test between the Je and De mode.
Found the Je mode could acquire more depth on small gold jewelry.
The only way to acquire the same signal in De mode was to run with discrimination at 0 and sensitivity wide open. I would like to know a little more about the differences and maybe what goes on when the machine is in Je and De modes.

Proprietary; however, astute ET's and/or P.E. DE's can reverse-engineer.
Your results are correct; however, try using a VERY small 4-post stud earring made of REAL gold. I say this..... because many gold earrings are gold-plated over a copper hull. NOT good for this test.
Compare apples-to-apples: Disc '0' only.....for both 'je' and 'de/pf' mode. There is a HUGE difference with Disc on '5'....... and all the way down to a Disc of '1'...... then, of course.... a Disc setting of '0' whilst in de/pf mode. BIG difference. Especially with very small gold items.
