Sensitivity curve F-75 LTD

Tom while air testing the LTD did you happen to note the distance on a nickel at increasingly higher sensitivity settings? Is it linear? does it rise fast at first and then taper off, or... ?

Also distance at min setting.

Thanks

VERY good question....as the T2/F75's are MUCH more resonant to lower conductors ..... like nickels. The 'pinnacle' target for the F75 is a Type-1 U.S. one dollar gold coin. It's a extremely small coin.... but the F75 see's the coin as a 'average-size' target.

I DID test this with the Type-1 $1 gold coin..... and also with a nickel.... and found that the F75 produces a very strong (not modulated by depth) audio response to the near-fringe depth capabilities of detection. ONLY at the very fringe range.....does the audio response become somewhat reduced in amplitude (volume).... and somewhat broken/ratty sounding. -- I have not tested the linearity of different Sens settings on a low conductor (yet).
