Our own level of expectations can 'self' help us... or 'self' hurt us.

I performed another very small/short hunt.....in an area with tall grass.....and was able to hunt it with much better success.....as the Ltd is very 'air-gap' forgiving. I managed to find a clad dime and two pennies at a little over 11" deep.... with the coil 3" - 4" above the ground (not by choice, due to the tall grass).....and was NOT able to detect them in 'pf' mode..... due to the height of the coil above the ground. Normally........ I avoid these types of areas.....as I demand to have the coil on the ground.

The 'air gap' advantage of this dectector may turn out to be one of the best features of this detector over another top brand. The ability to hunt over tall grass, weeds and forest brush eliminating the constant tangling that necessarily enuses will be a SIGNIFICANT advantage!

It seems you prefer the pf mode on the F75, is there any reasoning behind this?

Sounds like this detector or the T2 Ltd may well be the machine of choice for hunting plowed fields in the U.K.

Road trip anyone?

Should be a fairly major attribute in plowed fields.....and/or tall grass.

It will be thoroughly tested in the UK soon enough.

But I doubt it will do any better than the current F75 in the dirt I hunt in my quest for 2000 year old gold.

I will be trying, but the quarter staters are so small (1.5 gram), and the site is stuffed with small iron and rust particles that any more depth would be more of a hindrance than a help...it would just show more of all targets.

BTW, I hunt wide open in all metal now.
