Gold earring, 6 silver coins, and some military buttons

Used noise cancel #11, audio gain = 30 with the 18”x15” SEF coil, 13” Ultimate coil, Pro coil, and the Minelab 8” coil. Sensitivity level varied depending on coil.

3 days of detecting delivered a gold earring, 6 silver coins, 10 wheaties, and some buttons.

The 1st day, went to the beach that produced an old 14k diamond ring and an Italian gold necklace. This time, got a small 18k .27g gold earring.

I shouldn’t have gone back to the beach on the 2nd day, because after several hours of hunting, only got 2 modern pennies.

On the 3rd day, went to a land site that months earlier produced, using the 13” Ultimate coil, a standing liberty quarter that was in very good condition, along with some wheaties, buffalo nickel, a pair of V-nickels, and some military buttons.
This time, used the large 18”x15” SEF coil at manual sensitivity 24. Did a quick search of a large area to locate potential hotspots. Located a small area that had a concentration of wheat pennies, buttons, mercury dime, and a buffalo nickel.
On the way back, stumbled onto another small area that produced 3 1964 silver quarters and a 1920 mercury dime.

Here is the gold earring and silver coins.

ID = inner diameter (in millimeters)
Procoil auto-sensitivity = 16
Rings air-tested with ring parallel to coil, unless otherwise noted

carat ID grams depth FE-CO max depth description
18k -- .27 .25” 13-01 .5” gold earring, clasp closed
                   -- ----- - gold earring, clasp open
Note: with clasp open, the earring wasn’t detectable while air-testing.
At the beach, it was detectable on the salt water wet ground up to
2” using manual sensitivity 24, noise Cancel #11, and responded
      with an 01-50 reading.

The top 2 photos are of the 18k gold earring before cleaning. Attempted to photograph the tiny maker’s mark on the earring using a 30x loupe.
At the bottom are photos of a SF 49ers pin, and a small buckle.

Here are the coins before cleaning.
The quarters are all 1964, they were only a few meters apart from each other.
The mercury dimes are 1939, 1918, and 1920.
The top 8 pennies were all found from a land site, along with the buffalo nickel. The bottom 2 pennies were beach finds. The dates are very difficult to read.

Here are the wheat pennies and the buffalo after some light tumbling.
The dates are;
1941, 1930, 1939, 1941
1940, 1917, 1919?, 1942
1941, 1928, and 1958

Here are the buttons after cleaning, and a small buckle of some sort.

Here are some of the other finds.
