Pulled this in last week at a wrote off camp we hunt. Thankful I found it and realize I'll probably not find another lol. Days like that are hard to come by but sure fires you up to keep trying.

Cal, I was using the Blisstool v5. No tape but dug a plug with the Samson ( 7" ) ...nothing on the pointer so dug down again and removed the dirt. Pointer went off at the bottom so I went in one more time but only a few inches to loosen the dirt at the bottom from the sides. When I pulled that dirt it was in there...fell back on my butt and started to hoot and holler until my buddy came over. As for the last Q, I heard the v5 could bring old spots back to life. (a lot of rain before this hunt so maybe that helped as well)

Lawrenzo, iron spit or broken tone around the area but once the coil went over that it was a steady tone in all direction.

Extremely nice find. One for the ole trophy case, no doubt. Maybe the Blisstool V5 needs a bit more respect. I wonder just how many folks in the good ole USA are using them??? You're in a nice area Tom. Anything is liable to surface. I'll bet you'll find another trophy given a little more time as your skills get honed even more with your detector. BTW, can you comment on battery life, charge time on your V5.

Due to our weather I've not been out like we do when it's warmer. 2-5 hrs is hunt time so far per day when we go, have to wait for one of those all day outings reference battery.

Tom, that is an AWESOME find!!!! That is on my short list for relics to find. I envy you. But in a good way. I am happy that you found a nice plate in such good shape. Congrats to you!!!!
