Agreed so much that we have keith, Tom, Steve and many good others. Im so impressed thAt this company Nokta/Makro actually appears to care and listen to its customers...US. That ALONE makes me want to do business with them. Top notch Customer service, SELLING solid products that works well the first time, decent and unbloated price point...well, this is a successful business model.

Great point JJ!
Gary says he's "bonded" with the Racer, now <g>

I guess Gary and Makro/the Racer kissed and made up.
He said it didn't sound like he wanted, or act like he wanted...at first.

For an old hand at detectors, as he is, it doesn't make sense that he only discovered AFTER MAKING A VIDEO that he could and should set it up more properly to his satisfaction.
Maybe he was just having a bad day or up against a deadline for which he was not prepared. I don't know.

But the 3 Racer videos he's followed the 1st one with are more in keeping with his usual demeanor and attitude.

All can be found here: [www.garysdetecting.co.uk]

Pleasant Garden, NC
AT Max, Nokta Impact, MX Sport, Nokta FORS Relic, GPX 4800, Infinium, Racer, Deus, F75SE, Nautilus DMC II (order of acquisition, last to first)

Does an archeologist argue with a plow? A bureaucrat with a bulldozer?

I appreciate his reviews but dont get too hung up on the settings he employs. Different styles and sites obviously, but his settings are often just not getting the best from a machine.

The video has been removed.

I would guess most folks in rural America lack the bandwidth for videos. I know I do. It's not the computer.

I will take a wild arse guess and say that Nokta/Macro threatened to pull the plug on any more freebies to review...lol
