Coil Help

Hi everyone, I just joined and bought a BH Platinum @ cabelas ($299), that I'm pretty impressed with so far. My ? is I want to attach a 11" DD to it. I know the F4 DD works, but I want to know why I couldn't use the F5 DD since it is same freq. and same connector ? Basically the detector is a Tek Gamma 6000 with a T2 pistol grip. Fisher says it's because the spec's & circuitry are different ? I suspect that the only difference is the Greek coils have screw connectors and F5 push on like the platinum. Maybe Tom or one of you experts could shed some light on this.

Hmmmmm. I don't have enough data to provide a good answer on this one. Maybe someone on this forum with a BH Plat could answer this question.
