You see...you state I nullified the bible when nothing is farther from the truth. All I said was it is imperfect. What you do is take it to the highest level on blind faith. The written word from God is still written by man...who is imperfect. You really want me to believe every single word of the Old Testament ?

Please do not throw scripture at me. I do not need the written word of MAN to bolster my faith. It is people like you who look down on people like me that make it a travesty. You, nor any one else on this Earth KNOWS the truth. You may think you do, have an idea of what may or may not happen, and have a belief of things, but you nor any one else KNOWS FOR SURE. That is the true beauty of it all.

Do you believe man and dinosaur walked together on Earth ? Do you believe creatures on Earth are the ONLY living creatures in the ENTIRE universe ? Do you beleive that we were attacked on 911 soley on our religious beliefs and that it has nothing do to with our occupation of land or our support of certain governments over there ? Well, if it weren't for the Will of God through the guiding and directing His believing followers, there wouldn't be anything as far as new nations and a Nation settled under God by faithful believers and followers of Christ...the name above all names! We are not given that choice by our unwise and ungodly leaders, today, who as the evil ones have made laws to keep Bibles, Jesus and our Almighty God out of schools, the Gov't (State and Federal) but when this happens most of the people will turn back to their believing faith in Christ Jesus and turn the nations laws around again through prayers, faithfulness and fighting just like the Revolutionary War! Prayers were prayed by George Washington and those in Congress and even stone of the Gov't buildings have our Almighty God with His Commandments and Scriptures etched on them, letting everyone know Whom they served and it certainly wasn't religions that don't believe in loving, serving and obeying God Jehovah (Elohem) The one and only true God, Who died for our sins by coming down to Earth as fully God and fully man born in the flesh by virgin birth and lived a sinless life, and became the crucified Lamb of God in the name of Jesus....the only pure One Who could take all of our sins upon Himself in each sinners place (and we are all born sinners and in need of a Savior) that we might be saved and have eternal life forever more in the Kingdom of God in the presence of our Blessed Lord and Savior! Any other faith or belief is satan fooling them and they cannot nor will be in new Jerusalem City after mortal death for their soul must be purified and made righteous in the precious, shed blood of our dear Savior, Jesus Christ! He is the life, the truth and the way to our Heavenly Father (God Jehovah) and no one will enter into God's glorious, golden Kingdom without Him as their Savior and Lord! The reason our nation is failing is because most have turned away from the true God and are followers of false gods and false religions allowing them the freedom to worship their ways but they aren't safisfied until they take God Jehovah in Jesus' name our of the equation....which King Solomon also did the same thing because of all his wives and concubines who worshiped idols and false gods! When a nation's citizens turn away from the One God, Who is faithful and true, that nation will fail unless and until they return to the God of Abraham, Jacob and Isaac......Who was, is and will always be the God of the Universe and the Great I Am! God's straight and narrow way through Jesus Christ is the only way for receiving eternal life for the soul in joy and peace and not to be cast into the Lake of Fire!

God allows people to have a free will, but His will is for them to believe in His beloved Son, Jesus, and be saved by their repentance of all their sins and the forgiveness of their sins by Him and to obey His Will and follow His righteous way all the way to Glory! May our Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, change the hearts of mankind to walk in His will and be with Him forever more! Amen! God's mercy endures forever, so it is not too late to believe in Jesus until mortal death takes hold of the body or the saints, dead or alive, are resurrected up unto Him in the air and be free in Jesus' freedom and victory on the cross, eternally! After that, mankind will have to die for their faith during the reign of the antichrist, who sets himself up in the temple as the true messiah, but is a liar and a false one, so be aware unbelivers...for God will not be mocked and He will bring to fulfillment the end of the age as we know it and bring His Kingdom to earth where Jesus will rule and reign forever!

I would like to say that the Bible is what it says it is: perfect and true. Penned by men but they were given the words by God!
It would be a cruel God to give us a guide book and say: "here's a bunch of words, you go figure out which ones I meant to give you and which ones
aren't true". What kind of help is that. It would also be cruel to say: "I am the way, truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me"(Jesus) if
there were other ways to the Father.
Faith is not a feeling of what is the right way to go. Faith is believing that God means what he says and acting like it. It's based on FACT.
It's based on absolute truth.
I can't point myself in the direction of absolute NORTH by the way I feel. I need something like a compass or the stars etc. to tell where absolute
North is.
We need absolute truth to point us in the way to go. It can't come from feelings. It can't come from a democratic vote. It can't come from what everyone
else is doing. It can't come from the news media, politicians, pastor, uncle Fred, horoscopes, Ouija boards, tea leaves...you get my point. There is only one
source of absolute truth: the BIBLE.
And by the way, the Catholic church has always diminished the Bible to a secondary source of truth at best. If the "church" says something different than

You really believe EVERYTHING in the Bible is factual and true ? REALLY ?

The Bible, written in an age where communication was so jaded and convoluted, a story about a man on a horse, told one town over, is now a story about a woman on a donkey. Even today, a story told by one person, once told 10 times over, is totally different in facts and accuracy.

You really believe, after it is PROVEN, that Earth is approximately 4+ BILLION years old, that it was created in 6 DAYS ? Today, like 10, 000 years ago, a DAY is Sunrise to Sunrise. 24 hours....that has not changed.

I do believe the only way to God is through Jesus Christ and yes there is no other way. It is written in the book of truth by God Himself. As far as "days" are concerned, our thoughts arent his thoughts. The term days are referring to periods in time. We are living in the seventh day. Look in Genesis and you will find references to Gianrs which are obviously from the 6th day before Adams days. Get the concept?

Oh...now it is a 'concept' ? Isn't a 'concept' a hypothesis, an idea...and not really considered fact or truth ? I am supposed to believe a 'concept' with all my heart and soul, and not quesiton it ? Easier to prove God exists than that the Universe was created by an explosion or as they say,, The Big Bang! Anyone can believe what they want but doesn't make it so! The Bible was written by prophets of old as God's Holy Spirit led them and all scripture is from God and for us to believe and obey! The righteous ways of God bring love, peace, joy and comfort in Christian families while satan brings destruction for broken bodies, families and to the whole world!

I would rather believe in my One True God Jehovah and then, when I die it wouldn't matter, than to believe not in Him and find out in the end that He really does exist and I wasn't saved from being condemned and cast into darkness and then into the Lake of Fire! I still have a bit of a problem with the whole King James VERSION....emphasis on VERSION. For cryin' out loud. Can't everybody simply get along? If being a Christian means I have to take the Bible as "GOSPEL" (funny how gospel is used synonomously to represent absolute truth)...which somehow entails I'm supposed to believe that mankind were the first primates on the planet and that Darwin was completely insane for dreaming up any kind of evolutionary development among species....then my friends...I am certainly no Christian and I'm very comfortable with that.

The Bible is a wonderful collection of very metaphorical writings from many authors, amongts these writings are fact based historical accounts and these writings have been studied and interpreted by scholars from many cultures both collectively and independently. If Christians draw strength from these writings and take them as fact and somehow NEED a reason to explain their existence and cannot accept the fact that we're no different than any other carbon based lifeform on the planet and simply return to the earth from whence we came...then so be it. I'm very comfortable with that also.

I need no Bible or other writings to tell me the difference between right and wrong...it wouldn't have taken a very bright individual to have come up with the ten commandments....burning bush...parting the red sea....C'mon...but anyway...it is rather amusing. Just imagine Noah...with 2 of every single creature that walked or crawled on the earth. Do the freakin' math! LMAO

Ever hear of carbon dating? Proves the earth is wayyyyy older than 6k years.

No man Christian or not can change an unbelievers heart....only God Jehovah! When each faces their Maker someday, then they will either be very disappointed or very happy, depending on what our Redeemer, Jesus, says to them. Come in, my good and faithful serant or be gone from Me, for I do not know you! I know in my heart that I am saved in Christ Jesus and a follower of Him! I am not ashames to call Him, my Lord and I hope He won't be ashames of me when I stand before Him, someday! There is proof of God in everything on Earth and in the Universe....it is up to each one of us, to believe or not believe! I like to debate this topic because I find it very ironic and kind of sad that these people are blinded by their own faith when they state no one will enter that divine place they call 'heaven' unless they believe in Jesus, and Him alone. They can't phathom the concept of other races believing in different saviors, even if the end result is believing in the same God. Couldn't God come down in the form of a human, as the story goes, as Jesus in one part of the world, and someone else in another ? I mean, heck, it's God for cryin out loud !

That, to me is totally nuts. This person is actually thinking that based on a book over 2000 years old, that hasn't been updated since who knows when, is all truth, yet science, it's continuing advancements, and the continued accumulation of data each and every day, has no bearing.

She is stating that it is easier to prove a figment of her imagination, her belief, than actual factual proof of the big bang. That radio telescopes, getting data from not only stars, but GALAXIES millions of light years away, are really not there. That the Earth and Universe is really not there, the planets are not there, the fossils of dinosaurs over 200 million years old, are not there, yet God is. She states because there is love and peace in this world, there is a God, and all things evil are because of satan. Didn't God create satan...at least isn't that how the story goes ? So he creates satan, yet He is not responsible for any thing bad. He gives us free will,but when we do bad things, it's not because of Him..it's because of satan. REALLY ? REALLY ? OK...I have to ask...a peaceful, loving, caring person who does not believe in God...that love, that peace, that caring...is it really non-existent because they don't have 'GOD" in their heart ? No one ever saw God, yet people have not only saw, but TOUCHED the fossils, actually dug them up. They see the planets, the stars, the galaxies, yet is is MUCH EASIER to prove God exists ? That is absolutely insane and I hope she listens to what she is saying ( obviously she isn't).

I for one am tired of hearing the hypocrisy of these people, and because of that, I respond. I like debating this topic because the more drivel these people spew, the more crazy they sound.

It's one thing to be a faith based person, who believes in what they believe...most people do. But most people, also, do not condem the others, put blinders on and have the 'my way or the high way...or as they would put it God's way. They cannot, for one second, take a step back and see the reality of the world. A very, very SAD way of living, and I think, in all honesty, God did not want it that way. If He did, then there would never be more than one story or more than one religion. The Bible is a master piece, filled with wonderful stories, parables, verus and sayings to live life by. But to believe the entire text, word for word, is absolute truth, and to totally disregard anything scientific in this day and age, is beyond my comprehension. I mean, 3000 years ago, the freakin people thought there was a dome around the Earth with pretty points of light and it rotated. That the Earth was the center of the universe. Some actually thought some dude in a chariot pulled the Sun across the sky. Remember...at one point the Earth was flat. I think some of these people still think all of that is still true !

I guess maybe what they are saying is, if you don't believe in Jesus, then there is no path to THEIR GOD. OK..I will give them that. But then it explodes out into...multiple Gods ? Oh the horror !!!

Man...sometimes I can't stop when it comes to this topic because above all else, it is very interesting. But the loonies gotta go !

By the way.. dirtmaster is not only posting my comments on another forum, he is RECRUITING people from that forum to join this one to help his cause. Check out the dates registered by these wonderful, peaceful, loving 'Christians'.

Well...I've been following this post, and I just want to add my opinion...

dirtmaster & Ma Betty - Just because someone disagrees with you, does not make them a sinner or a non-believer. Actually this country was and is based on debate and disagreement. That's what makes it great.

Ma Betty you state that you love the USA and Constitution but you don't want it taken away by people who disagree with you? How about peeking outside of that three foot box that is surrounding you... aren't we all God's children?

dirtmaster - you post some interesting things about false gods etc... So if Jesus smashed all the tables in the Temple (note scripture doesn't reference the word church, Jesus was Jewish right?) for people worshiping money, then why does 95% of the Christian churches pass a collection basket 8x every mass or sponsor a bingo (which is gambling by the way)? Besides if money is all that bad, why is God's name all over it?

I can ship you a bottle of Windex if you like...because the mirror you are looking in or the glass houses you live in have a few smudges.

The important thing to remember is...it doesn't matter WHAT you have faith in, just as long as you HAVE faith.

You can call me narrow minded and in my own box if you want, because God's true believers are a peculiar people and not many but true believers themselves will agree with us! They didn't agree with Jesus and persecuted Him and we are and will be persecuted, too! I don't do name calling and don't intend to argue my Chritian faith....which is not a religion but as a follower of Christ I am a Christian! If those who I say are sinners or unbelievers, which they are if they don't believe in Christ, are offended by my posts and others, too, like dirtmaster, then that is their problem and I'm not telling a lie, for a person knows the tree by the fruit it bears, how they act and what they do! Yes, I do love the USA but not other religions trying to take over in America while taking away our Christians' rights to pray to God and speak to Him in Jesus' name! I didn't say by people who disagreed with me (learn to read and comprehend) I said I don't want them taking my rights, constitution and believing in Jehovah God away from me! Christians are people too and have rights to speak and write, as long as we have free speach and it isn't taken away from us by Dictators, Communists, Marxists and Muslims who want to change America for worse and not for better! Don't believe that than read up on third world countries and learn why they are poor.....Communits and Dictators are the rich rulers taking the money away from the working class and keeping them enslaved by taking and keeping all freedoms away from them! A true Christian does martyr ourself for out faith and die for our God like those trying to force us to be Muslims or die, for God died for us and we don't have to die for Him....that's why we have a Savior! Amen!

You can live the way you want and I will live the way I am according to God's Holy Word and until you have the Holy Spirit of God within you, you and others will not see nor understand how He works within the soul and teaches as He guides us into all truth! If the Bible is to be believed than believe every word of it, if not, then throw it away and/or ignore it but don't just pick and choose what you want out of it!'

I have Jesus as my own personal Savior, I am washed in His blood, have studied His Scriptures and know I shall be in God's glorious Kingdom with Him forever more! Where you will be, I don't know but God does and that is where I will leave it! He knows your heart and what your mind thinks and what you do in life, so go your way and maybe someday, if we both know Jesus and God's Word is absolute truth, we will meet in the sweet by and by and be with our Savior and Lord, but if you are right and you can get there in many different ways, well so be it, as I haven't lost a thing and have been blessed of God more times than I can even count or write about!

I only wish you the best and quit getting offended everytime someone tells you the truth....for you can believe or not believe it is up to you, but don't run or cut me down because I believe the way I do, for I am not hurting you, as you are only hurting yourself! Sinners are those who keep committing sin and unbelievers sin also and don't believe in Jesus, so according to the Bible, they both are unsaved and in need of a Savior!
