Question regarding best freq. choice for the F75ltd2
March 31, 2015 03:37PM
I read Tom's post regarding this awhile ago and I remember him saying a depth loss can occur if the right frequency is not selected, even if no emi is present and all channels are quite.

I don't have a test garden to try this (apartment living) but if you go into all metal and choose the channel that gives the smoothest threshold do you think that would be the best channel to use?
Thanks,

HH

What I would do is check with a coin on top of clean ground. Start hunting. If you can find a target then use freq offset to see if signal can be improved. Person might want to dial the sens back over target to slight hit. Then see if freq offset will make the target sound better. Then dial sens back up and hunt.

John......... Yes. That is a (near) guarantee to work the best.

Thanks, I think I'll try that too, just to verify if it matches up with the all metal threshold channel.
