Not very much. I bought one like new in original wooden box for $65.00 off Ebay last year.

Hi Dan,,,I don't know the value of it but that was one of my first detectors I started with....Mine had two blue coils one small one and a big one...I believe the small coil could sit on top of the big one so you were swinging two coils at once...It was a bfo type and never had much depth....I found a lot of stuff with it.. I think it was made around 1968 or early 70's........JJ

Was the first detector i had in 1972, and i still have it with the hard case. You are right about them not being very deep, was lucky if it would hit a man hole cover at 6in. I was 16 at the time and kept seeing it advertised in true west and frontier times magazine. Show's you how much i knew about metal detectors because garrett, white.s and compass had ads also. By the way no i don't use it, i moved on to white's, garrett, and now fisher after about 2yrs. of using the frontiersman. LOL

I hate Relcos. My first detector, a Relco, pain in the butt with tuning that was always drifting. Pc of junk, saved all my money for one only to be disappointed with it.
Had I not found a Dtex Tiny Tex, I would have quit the hobby.

DeepTech Vista X with 3 search coils.
Works for me

Yes the $65.00 delivered I paid for mine was to much as it is pathetic performance wise lol . I never resold it as I would hate for some un-knowing person too buy thinking it would be a good cheap "starter machine"

When I started out I had a Relco BFO.... quarters laying on top of the ground were no match for it! Everything else forget it. I think I gave it away when I got a White's TR.

Hello Dan,

I have the relco frontiersman and a couple of other relco BFO models, Yeah they are build flimsy especially the handles connecting to the plastic housing very weak in this area. A few people out there may want these for collecting purposes but that's about were it ends, Gutless would an under statement one of the worse models of all time.

Take care,
Paul
