3 more small gold jewelry parts

The tides are only delivering light weight small gold jewelry parts to the zero tide zone. But I’m starting to learn how to locate small gold jewelry that is not detectable with the CTX.

The partial 14k gold chain was easily detectable at around 4 inches in a small pocket using manual sensitivity 24. As for the partial 14k Italian gold necklace part and the 10k earring, had to use a different technique. Instead of skipping over pockets with small lead parts (target ID conductivity values of 04 up to around 09, I just dig out the pocket and sort out the small pieces of metal that accumulate there using the Pro Find pinpointer. Although it’s time consuming, small gold jewelry parts do pop up every once in a while. Lean times at the beach.

Here's a photo of the gold jewelry parts.

Air-tested with:
11 coil
Auto-sensitivity = 16
Noise Cancel #11
ID = inner diameter (in millimeters)
Rings air-tested with ring parallel to coil, unless otherwise noted

carat ID grams depth FE-CO max depth description
14k ---- 1.68 .5” 13-01 1.25” partial gold chain
14k ---- .21 -- ----- ----- Italian gold necklace part
10k ---- .10 -- ----- ----- gold earring

Here are some before cleaning photos of the gold jewelry.

Here is an old looking bottle that washed ashore.

Here’s another typically corroded silver mercury dime and a few bronze nails.

Nice digs!!!

I like the aqua cone Ink bottle the best!!!

its about 1890 or so period..

I like that wave action patination on it..gives it that satin feel...

Black glass looks awesome in my opinion in that satin look Also.....

Your ID helped a lot.
I searched for inkwell on the internet, but couldn’t find a good match.
But your description, “aqua” and “cone”, found the match.
Here’s a website with a “very similar” ink bottle.

Thanks for the ID.
