your help needed to ID CW bullets

Had these a long time; don't remember where they came from exactly, but probably a battlefield, i.e., Petersburg, Bentonville or elsewhere.

No. 1: 422.5 grains, .817 in. long; nose is flattened; somewhat flattened dia. .521x.643 in.
Looks to be a 2 groove bullet with a large tie ring base that is convex.













No. 2: 227.0 grains, flattened in brass(?) cartridge(?) casing?
No idea what this is; have always thought CW as it was found among other CW bullets and items. I could be wrong.
