Broken coil ear....I saw this on another site

I have repaired the ear on a friends coil... its still going strong after a year and he uses it in the water... you need to make sure the pieces are clean and dry...

I use Devcon Plastic Welder 3500psi strength.

Most hardware stores sell it

Just goes to show that a good repair is a lasting one as well. Why buy new when a repair will do!

Bondic is a good product but I don't believe it would be up to the stress for use on coil ears! The Devcon Plastic Welder is a far superior product for use on coil ears where you actually need a "glue", Bondic doesn't glue and needs to be set with the Ultraviolet light so could only be used on the outer surface to build up new material. Bondic also wouldn't be cost effective for the amount you would need to use in this case.

Whatever works and thanks for the tip....big thing is be sure contents doesn't contain anything that would interfere with coils ability....
