Average age of active hunters??????????

It seems to me that a lot of companies are trying to lighten the weight of detectors. I for one at 70 can't hunt like I use to. Just got back from Bahamas water hunting and only found 2 rings. One gold and the other silver. Anyone want to figure the average age on hunters lets start with me at 70......The new unit that looks like the deus is nice as I did not like the wireless coil for one thing..Might try one when they are available...starting with 70!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 32. Bought my first detector at age 9 or 10. Saved for it by mowing yards and such. I remember lusting after them in the Sears catalog and was saving to get a Whites and dad talked me out of it saying that $500 was too much to spend on something like that. So he talked me into a Radio Shack Micronta instead. He eventually felt sorry for me and bought me a Fisher 1265-X from a guy he worked with.

Will be 64 in Nov. have a broken back, still hunt as mush as I can , some days I can,t but it I can stand the pain I am out there.

49 been hunting since the 80's. Seems like alot of the guys are over 40 on these forums, but some younger guys are taking up the hobby too, so we have to leave a few trinkets for them I guess.

47 and slowly getting a handle on the hobby after 5 years. It's amazing the guys 20-30 years my senior are still enjoying this great hobby. I can only hope to do the same!
