no clue what this is either

I have googled a bunch, but now resort to you folks. I have no idea how this fits into the human race. Any ideas? When I dug it, it was stacked together like in the top photo, but not really held together except by its position in the dirt. There was no other back or front in the hole, or something that I could find that would have surrounded it. I then separated all the individual layers and spread them out.

Thanks for looking

I have found a couple of them at a old farm site, one you can just make out a picture in, it looks like a lady. The other one was not in pieces like yours but water seeped in and can not make anything out in that one. Guessing they are 1930 or 40's? HH edit~ reverse crystal [www.1stdibs.com]
