The wireless headphones will go into testing soon and if all goes OK, we will release them. I will keep you updated.
Depth indication is only provided in the pinpointing mode.

thanks, when will they be available in the US and Canada?
also, is the 10x5.5 coil the same as the original racer coil?

Very nice...... Improving on an already solid performer is great news.... For sure a company that is on the move and don't like to sit around.

This is not the Impact. Impact is still in development.

This is the Racer 2 - After we released Racer, there were many feedbacks and wishes from customers. As we always try to focus on what the customers need, we decided to offer customers what they want and actually more in the Racer 2.

There are many new features, a new Deep mode as well as a new waterproof coil on the Racer 2. ID scale has been re-arranged for non-ferrous targets.
The angle of the angle has also been modified on the Racer 2 just like the Gold Racer.

Well..so much for everyone ..that bought a Racer?....they should just come out with a different Name ..for it..that way people that got a Racer..could take it easier!............getting to be just like Teknetics....Hope they don't..Start making II's...Pro's...+'S.....Well now that ..I vented!.....I sure wish ..I knew where to get one of there famous coil bolts?....E-mailed..everbody(Makro)...and here in the States....no Reply????

Hello. We can understand the frustration of the people who just bought a Racer. However, Racer was released a year ago. We know that other manufacturers wait much longer to release a new product and most of the time the releases are minor updates. We, on the other hand, really focus on what the customers want and need. Once we release a product, we listen to all the feedbacks and try to implement whatever we can in our next device and the changes are not just updates but really a whole set of changes in terms of the algorithm of the product which takes a lot of effort on the engineering and testing side and even molding changes sometimes which are really not easily implemented. Please note that the Racer will not be discontinued and it will be part of our product offering as it is a great product as is for many users.

Our whole goal behind releasing new products is really to satisfy customers more and as we are doing that we really work hard to deliver it faster to our valued customers. Customers may be accustomed to waiting for years for a new product but we do not believe that should be the standard in this industry as it is not in many other industries as long as you are not releasing products just for the sake of it but to really meet the demands of the customers.

That is cool but for you that have the racer I think you are a winner no matter which Racer you have. This will get those that were on the fence to go out and get one of these great machines now that they added some new features.

We will start shipping all dealers around the world in the order we received the orders. I will get back to you for the USA specifically.
The 10X5.5 coil is the same. The 11''X7'' standard coil is different on the Racer 2 (it is what you called an epoxy filled coil versus the injection one on the Racer) and the 5'' coil on the Racer 2 is also different than the Racer 5''X4.5'' - in your words OOR coil- as the Racer 2 5'' is a round one. However the original Racer coils can be used on the Racer 2 and vice versa.

Great to hear. Hope USA delivery is soon. I already had 2 orders before I woke up today and even saw it was announced. Dealers are still in the dark on this.

It was announced to all the distributors and dealers today. We cannot monitor the timing the distributors announce it to their dealers as we work with many dealers around the world.
We, as the manufacturer have the responsibility to announce it to the public and we have to make it simultaneously in all countries.
It would not be fair if we posted the announcement on the European forums and not on the USA forums. I am sure you will get all the info soon from the distributor. Thank you!

I'm especially intrigued by the "unmatched depth" as advertised! And while a minor feature, I definitely like the color better than the first Racer LOL.

Can't wait to read the reviews... I have no doubt they'll be good ones in keeping with the company's high standards.

What's the price on the Racer 2?

Their website says $749.00 for the Standard package and $949.00 for the Pro Pack

List looks to be $100 more than Racer. Still waiting to hear info from distro.

I know it's just color but yes all black is easier on the eyes! I don't know that the racer need anymore depth but hey we will take it. Ok, wjs, you get the mx sport to test and I'll get this one. distribute our funds for testing.

Have you considered the following????

Since it appears original Racer coils will in fact work on Racer 2.

How about offering a package selling on the Racer 2 without the rod and coils???? -- at a reduced price from an overall packaged unit with rod and coil( s).

This would definitely help with sales for those folks who already have the original Racer.

I am still amazed at how well Nokta/Makro listen to their customers and quickly impliment changes to their detectors - That process in itself should be commended as it seems so foreign to the already established big names in the market - Afterall, is this not what we want as hobbyists? - Companies/Corporations that listen and NOT expect -

Personally I look forward to the Racer series continuing with similar named updated models if they are an improvement off the previous platform/design -

A wise man 'Steve Herschbach' told us to look out for both Nokta and Makro a few years ago, as he knew something special would be coming out of these stables and he is certainly spot on about that -
