I am a little confused with the ground balance procedure, ie balance it in the dry and walk down to the wet and adjust??? What if there is no dry sand on the beach, what do you do then?

Are you saying the rejection point is adjustable?

Basically in a nut shell we have a TDI like detector with detector, with more Depth, Sensitivity and Stability, etc. in all modes. In all metal it will be similar to a TDI in all metal. In disc mode its like using a TDI in low conductivity and GB offset to reject low conduct ferrous, where Iron and high conductors are rejected. In id mode its like switching to all. How about going a step further

Discriminates high conductors, what a downer. Yes gold is the prize targets but I can say some of my beach finds have being silver, living in Europe I have had Tudor silver jewellery and bronze age items on beaches. In fact when I am out beach detecting I purposely look for older coppers and silvery, why? because then I know I am in the right area to find gold. Lets face it, if the Manta is going

Lol they should use 1..... it would be 100% right all the time, at any depth, on any target

Maybe Suchmuch is totally justified with his feelings towards Minelab, after all they have, time and time again falsely advertised their tech....FBS transmits 27 frequencies?? complete bs, they were pulled up on that one......showing through lovely diagrams that bbs/fbs goes deeper than single frequencies??? more complete bs, pulled up on that one also......goes 40% deeper, more bs etc etc etc. T

What I read into this is that the Multi-IQ will be deeper than FBS on lower conductors, ie. hammered coins and gold, whereas the FBS will be deeper than Multi-IQ on larger silvers and coppers. I know for sure which I prefer to find and its not larger silvers. Now the question has to be will the Equinox using 5khz be deeper than the CTX on higher conductors in low mineral conditions??

€5 coins are not in general circulation in Europe yet. If you are looking for high value coins, Switzerland is the place with their 5

Is it just me or do does anyone else think the targets sound terrible. The sounds seem very washy, unclear, it just does not seem to be able to lock onto the targets. I would not mind if the targets were deep but they are not.

Ghound and I actually come form 2 different parts of a country where there are NO dealers, in fact I my half of the country it is actually illegal to promote the sale of metal detectors for the purpose of hunting archaeological objects, so yes we have to very wary about glowing reports on new detectors. We don't even get to see detectors in real life let alone even try one out. Things don

And again, my honest opinion, all this bombardment from sponsored field testers, about this machine is the best thing since sliced bread, has only turned me totally against the Impact. It was the very same with the Racer. You cant come in here without the majority of recent posts being devoted to the Impact, by sponsored field testers, its just getting boring at this stage.

I am currently building another one out of an original run Explorer S, this time around I will be using a pair of these.

I would love to know how detectable the new British bimetal £1 coin will be, just imagine releasing a new machine into that market only to find there will be a problem detecting their premium modern coins?
