In my quest for a gold coin, I have been digging almost all mid-tones in the couple of parks i have been frequenting. Nickels on the ragged edge of depth need good headphones for me to determine the difference between ground grunts and iron grunts intersperced with the nickel tones. I can't use the included wireless phones for dirt digging because there is no nuance. NASA-Tom, those origi

first, the context.
NASA-Tom, Way back when I bought my Teknetics G2 from you, you included a pair of Koss headphones. I have used them on almost every detector since then, and still love them. Currently, they have quite a bit of tape holding various wires isolated and bound together in multiple spots, tape and glue holding the wires as they come out of the cup, etc.

I wonder if the dealer also told the newbie that until he spends a couple hundred hours learning the sound coming from his shiny new Nox he won't be able to use its full capabilites...if he is going to be just a casual user...spend half the money for a machine that does 80% of what the Nox does.
i do like mine a lot, though

couple clarifications and corrections.
1. I told Steve i WOULD dig the target, but wanted his opinion on if it was deep or small. It was fairly deep AND small.
2. He probably had to show the lady his wedding ring about about 20 times...pretty sure she wanted his info right there.
Steve is a good fella, and fun to hunt with.

Calabash,
if you have answered this before, just point me to a link....but can you describe:
1. HOW you are finding all those bottle so far underwater? how dark, hard to see, etc?
2. Why are they still in such good shape? If you are finding tons more that are all broken up?
3. How much time are you spending in order to get a bottle, on average?
so intriguing...thanks

the sunglasses phenomenon....is due to no one remembering to actually wear them on their nose to cover their eyes....pretty sure somewhere on instagram or tikkytok or the tweeter pages someone told them to put them on top of their heads and walk around out in the water to protect scalp from suns rays.

Cal, I have started typing this a couple times in past 3 weeks, deleted, started again....same sort of thing with my Nox and deep items.
2 deep barber dimes in the past 2 hunts that were on the edge of detection.. IDs were jumpy but all the way to low 30s. i commented to ozzie on the phone on the way home that it means i have to go slower in huge fields...good bye to coverage, but ill take it

A reality is that our country has been taught to live to far on the edge...we are allowed to borrow too much from banks for our homes and cars and college. We are allowed to build up huge credit card bills in general, as the card companies are willing to live on the margins and write off plenty of losses because they know they will still make money. Now that we are in a crises, the fact that ma

Just wanted to say thanks to you all on this site. First time out, for a bit over an hour with the equinox today. Figured to just go with recommended settings given here, and see what happens. 23 sens was most without constant emi tones, FE2 on 0, no disc, 50 tones, park 1, recovery 2.
first target that sounded really solid all directions except low tone coming from left to right but only

no problem with it, other than too nose heavy for my bad shoulder with the longer lower shaft. I didnt use it in a test garden, so couldnt say if it is deeper or not. It performed

I have a 15x12 SEF for mine...however it is heavier than the stock 11". My shoulder cannot handle using it for very long. I will sell it for 75.00, since I will probably never really use it for that reason. You can PM me if interested.

I have a Detech 13" Ultimate left over from a G2 i had. I use it with my F75 now and then, but if anyone has the same or similar coil but meant for F75 and wants to trade, please let me know. Mine is the white version and has coil cover.
I also have a Detech SEF butterfly 15x12 coil for F75 which I bought used a couple years back. Make me an offer for it.
Thanks.

in my opinion, the Whitman encyclopedia is very technical and more a study of all the pairs of dies used to make the early colonial coins. It is quite thorough, but might not be the best choice for browsing with your kids. There are literally pages and pages of the different pairs of the old coins, and it is not inclusive of most early coins minted by the U.S as they would not be considered co
