Tom, have you updated to an actual 'shipping' production unit? or if not are you running the actual shipping SW version? and what is that version?
sounds like you might be using a version beyond the one actually shipping?
appreciate the info you're providing btw....

hey Tom, curious if the WM-08 wireless module from the Equinox will work on MC?
also, Mark seemed to state that Bluetooth headphones (that work on Equinox) won't work on the MC? so the only wireless setup will be the proprietary headphones provided....correct?
oh, and at some point could you post up some of the better finds you've made during your part of the MC dev process...curi

I'm considering the purchase of either the 10x5 (I use this size on my G2+ and really like it) or 14x9 Coiltek coils for use on my EQ 800.
Has anyone here been able to have spent enough time with either one of these to provide
some feedback? Here in Canada they run $400 apiece so they become a very serious expense (for myself anyway). Are they worth it?
cheers...

I recall a similar check in 2007 but don't recall what it was for, Bush II was prez then I believe...
$1000 for me would help support my aging mother, she's 93 and some rice and beans for me...

think you're being trolled Dilek. my advice would be to get a unit to 'calabash digger'....his videos are very fair IMHO and he's posted many comparisons using his test site.
his results would/will be very 'telling'.....cheers

got out today to a park that is known (by me) to still have copper pennies. good for testing the 2.0 update (F2=4 is all I used). they id in the 30's now (mid though some rang up to high 30's!. pretty interesting. these were up to say, 7, 8, 9 inches and pretty toasty, mostly from the 50's 60's, dirt pretty moist (easy digging). then I got a pretty solid 27 (in drier dirt) and

Nokta, Simplex should be $349 including the wireless phones! your cost can't be more than $50 (for the headphones) and you'll sell many
more IMHO.
cheers (remember that it's name is Simplex, simple no hastle wireless headphones included)

I wired (in parallel) a 6 AA battery holder (from ebay via China) for 9V that lasts and lasts and.......I use rechargables and
doesn't cost me anything. only need to recharge them a couple times a year and if they run out in the field I keep a regular 9v handy to pop in.
oh, I put the AA holder in a waterproof bag and mount it under the armrest with elastic straps. better balance is a bo

Tek-point (green version of F-point)...
can anyone speak to the 'quirkiness' they're seeing with these 2. Mine seems to 'lock up' too many times, need to unscrew the battery cap, wait a bit, recap and it comes back to life. this does seem to happen more often when it's cold, say less than 10 degrees C. also, it begins to stop beeping and needs a turn off then on,
