Thanks for the input, i do appreciate it.
Just picked it up yesterday, and admit i have not read the manual yet.
Do have an explorer 2 which i used to know quite well but am a bit rusty, haven't used it in a while.
Totally understand about there not being a one for all program, but looking for a baseline setting to get me familiar with the unit.
It's odd to me that it ap

Hi Guys, just bought an Etrac but the seller lost the E-Trac Xchange Software Application CD.
Anybody know if this software can be downloaded safely from an online source? Is there perhaps a website where some good park(northern California) or other programs can be transferred as well?
Thanks in advance

Excellent, thanks guys. Now at least i know what the part looks like. Might try to make that pad out of a piece of pvc pipe. Also have some other old minelab shafts laying around, perhaps i can 'MacGuyver' something out of those

Hi guys, anyone know if the pole locking pads on the old CZ7 are the same as the ones used on the CZ3D? ( those pads take the slop out of the connection between the rods by turning the lock nuts.) Picked up this CZ7 where both the locking pads are missing. Already mailed fisher, no reply yet. Tried finding replacements online but no luck.

Picked this model up recently.
Still trying to figure out this detector....
Is it basically a silver sabre 2 with notch?
Where do you guys set your notch and disc?
The switch on Accept or Reject ?
Thanks

Thanks for the input, managed to get to the screws, tightened as far as possible (about a full turn) and that took about 70 % of the slop out.
I guess that part is just worn from being used a lot with loose screws. It's ok, the unit works like a charm and at least I don't have that 'clunk' at the end of each swing any more..

Hi Guys, Got a cz7a pro that has some significant sideways play between pistol grip and rod; does anybody know if there's a screw or some adjustment thingy hiding somewhere to tighten things up again? Thanks!

Have an older Tesoro Lobo that could benefit from new battery connectors and leads (the black and red cables going into the box)
Called Tesoro and they told me to send it in, but it's an easy repair I can do myself if I have the cables. Anybody know where to get these for a Lobo?

Here's one you don't see every day Came across one or two pics of these original Lobo's with the small coil, but never seen that big coil before..
The one in the center has the same dimensions as the stock lobo supertrack coil.
The big one is almost 16 inches long and 8 inches wide
You guys know of / ever seen one of those before?

Update;
Finally a day where it wasn't too darn hot to go out and detect here in Northern California, so i decided to take the Pirate Apolonia back out for another spin to my local park.
Below the results in the pics. It does like pulltabs, and some beer bottle caps do fool the machine once rusty enough, but by digging these i might have (finally) received my reward for doing so...

I think that's the key to have any succes in a business, to keep in touch with your buyers, and take their feedback serious. Nokta and Makro seem to have that part down from what i have read so far
Hopefully Pirate Electronics will become succesful here as well; they have a lot to offer for the price they're asking for their products.
The control box might not win a beauty cont

great, are you getting and Apolonia as well?
Would be interesting to compare, especially if your soil conditions are different.
Here's a few pics with my Explorer in it for size reference. Coil footprint is nearly identical, length between hand grip and arm rest is shorter on the Apolonia.

Another outing, another update...
Went to another park, with slighty different soil conditions (still far from easy soil, but further away from EMI ) to see if the detctor would behave differently. Decided to make it hard on the detector and go over a patch systematically, after I went over it real good with the Minelab explorer 2.
Walking over the same patch and walking the same lines, i

First hunt results…
Spent a little over an hour in a recent park, founded somewhere in the 80’s here in California, so no old stuff. Working in tough gold country highly mineralized soil. Using killer B headphones, the model with the limiter switch and adjustable volume.
Took the Apolonia gold pro out for this test run, since I’m just more drawn to metered machines then analog models. I li

Solid advice from Keith! Make sure you get a good one; i was lucky enough to briefly own one of the 07/14 units.
As it turned out i was the 4th owner, seems everybody wanted to get rid of it in a hurry... Contaced Fisher, first they told me there never was a recall, then when i checked in again they said they caught all the units before they went to customers. When i showed them various forum
