Just curious, when you say "we", do you mean we as in your were involved with testing, or we as in you are employed by Minelab? I know you were involved with testing a lot of Minelab machines, but this sounded more in depth than that.

I had the same experience, it's just an enjoyable detector to use. Which surprises me, because my brother bought me a Simplex as a gift and 5 minutes into using it I just did not like it at all. For me, raw performance is only part of the equation, the other most important part is super subjective and based on how I vibe with a detector. I've bought and sold 3 Equinox trying to fall in

It has come up before Tom, here is a thread from a year ago. It's not terribly difficult to mess around with the browser's security settings to get it to display properly, but that causes the browser to start displaying warning messages constantly, and each post

I came out of detecting retirement a couple of weeks ago, last time I detected was early 2021 I think, a massive aortic aneurysm dissection almost took me out.
Anyhoo, a couple years ago I had some mild success getting permissions from neighborhood Facebook groups, but it was usually a permission or two for every 3-4 posts. I decided to give the Nextdoor app a try, posted asking for permission

I know this is an old post and I'm sure you've probably heard this by now, but the website is broken in all modern browsers and doesn't display properly, and it takes a bit of browser tweaking to get it to display correctly which also disables some browser security features. Your SSL is fine so that isn't the culprit, not sure what it is. I tried looking through the HTML and s

Do you have smaller coils coming in separately? I'm assuming they might all be getting plugged into pro packs, but thought I'd ask.

I just got my Legend and only have about 4 hours on it, so my observations are just preliminary, but yes it has quite a bit less iron falsing. Now that I've said that, let me cave

Did you request a password reset? I just got on the forum after a year plus away and my password no longer worked, I got the same error and had to roll a new password. So far as the screenshot, I don’t think that’s as definitive as you do. He could have been misinformed, trying to act tough, or any number of reasons. I just posted it to see what he has to say about it.

Who is they? I was active on the forum when you walked, it was common knowledge that you rage quit and is demonstrated in YOUR own post saying you were deleting YOUR own account. But as I just showed, you don't have a banned account and it was never banned. You can click on the link I posted above and CLEARLY see he walked away voluntarily, and the Admins at Friendly's have corrected the record every time that it comes up that A: He isn't and wasn't ever banned B: When you are banned it displays it in your forum profile, his is active an

Haha, I might have dabbled in my wild youth before the Army got ahold of me. I have the exact numbers written down at home (at work now), I'll report back later when I have those in front of me so I don't speak out of turn. The only one I remember for sure off the top of my head is the Vista is the only detector that has hit a 13" Merc in the garden, though I will caveat that was

Compared to my Equinox in mild soil, it can outresolve it in terms of depth in every target except for the really really small low conductors, and it's pretty close there. The Equinox has some advantages, can swing a lot faster in heavy iron being one of them, and that's a bonus for me because I like to swing like I just snorted a pencil sized line of coke. But yeah, for farm fields I

Garrett goofed and dropped the video early. I managed to speed through the first 14 minutes before they cut it off. Nothing interesting besides saying it had multi-frequency technology, they had their own cute buzz word for it. But they didn't say if it was true multi-freq or selectable single frequency. Then they reset the video and now have to wait to get to the specs. The first 12 mi

If we're using finds as the measure of a machine then the Hoover Boys and their AT Series detectors have you beat by 100 country miles.

I actually use some variation of your settings I think, Sensitivity usually 25 but backed down to 23 if I absolutely have to, Park 1, 50 tones, first audio bin set to 1, second 25, F2-0 Iron Audio, Recovery 2-3 usually, sometimes 4 if it's a

The DeepTech hits stuff in my test garden and the field that the Equinox can't see, and whenever I tell people that they usually can't believe it. I know it hits deeper in the field because I've survey flagged targets and compared them with the Equinox, something I do with all new machines to see if the machine is performing well in the field, or if results are anecdotal or I'

I don't like the V12 at all, it's too nose heavy for me. The V8 is perfect, and it just so happens that I really like 8"ish coils the most out of all the sizes. I might put the 12" up in the various forums to see if anyone with a 10" might want to trade, but probably a long shot.
