those bar's moved around on the one I had all the time...I believe if you would pump the coil they would change to more center... but while sweeping I notice the move with target's and sort of hold there after going across them....if you pump the coil say while they are showing 3-4 below the center line it should come back up toward center...
the depth is there it's just deepe

It gives alot of info on iron target's...once learned I have gotten accustomed to being able to tell horseshoe's from flat iron and such just by the response....remind's me a lot of a all metal mode with it's shaping and sizing with the added benefit of unique disc response intermingled...
here's such an Item the AT netted me... it's an early Stirrup 1840's..

I remember when I dug it thinking it would have one but it did not...
Funny thing that big piece of brass was about 9 inches deep at completely masked out by a 2 inch round horse bit ring abojut 4 inched deep.......I dug it up then moved about 3 inches and heard the High tone...
Forgot about the is indian head
it was in a lot of nails barely a squeak ..about 7-8 inched deep..1884 date.

is a site where the iron grunt never goes quite...Just a constant barrage sounding like it one continuous tone....
As far as the wading ???? Not sure on jewelry ...It ought to work nice being waterproof...no worries of dropping it but I know what you are after ...Gold!!!!.It should do well ....
I tested mine with a small thin gold chain no clasp just chain and I heard it at 4 inches....I h

I cant stress this enough when working dense iron....it is a real eye-opener..if you have mineralized dirt and some real iron hole's combined give this technolgy a chance...Do not dismiss it thinking the price is too low to perform or the name is not reputable for high technology....
I believe Garrett spent a lot of time on the unmasking technology...

One thing I have noticed on the AT-PRO...And it took me awhile to accustom myself to it is the Sweep speed can be moved at a real slow pace through the iron and retain excellent depth with the combined blending audio it really does give an extra edge to unmasking.....
I know on a few other fast response unmaking machine's need a little bit of a quicker sweep speed to get the same depth in

and here's my finding's... with iron disc set at 35...zero mode pro ...iron audio on....Sens Full...
At about 65 and below It will get some noise by twisting but I have to be very vigorous at it...it's not like it was on the first unit with a barely twist....
For the most part when it does make noise it's in the iron grunt ...with a high blip in the reversal of the twist

Now to answer your question...
I have tried the other corrected one in the past with Ground Balance way low like in the 30's and it would not false when twisted or pick up chatter..I will redo the test again...I am at work now so it will be after midnight before I can get it done..But I don't remember there being problem..
I do know when I move the G.B around I can start to pick

Its a great machine.. With ton's of coil option's...I really like the DD'S on it myself...Very informative audio with the added all metal feature running in unison with disc mode....It was ahead of the game 10 years ago with it own tone break set point...
I have made some great finds with the MXT....If it's all i had I would not complain one bit...Built extremely well with

for the most part.....I have hot rocks and bad dirt...also have good dirt and hotrocks LOL!!
but yes the AT handles hot rocks very well....
no need to balance to them just balance out the dirt....they will roll tone if audio I.D. is on... but targets under them will breakthrough ...
I believe if you go to lost treasure and read the AT field test that Chris Ghoulson Did he an it in the g

Great machine's all three Gold Bugs were different .....both G2's were close to the same hardly any differences ....
It's always nice to have 2-3-4 models of a detector to see how it performs accurately ...( Crazy I Know But what are you going to do Curiosity killed the cat)
I can say though that in the digital design there seems to be less and less performance differences f

While I had the screw out of the back..I was mainly looking to see what type of protection there was from moisture getting in behind the knob's since there was no nut's behind there...
I noticed the label first thing....No big deal really anyway we already knew it.....just put it up to sort of let people know that either one they have is as good as the other..I here people hung on th

No really....they have there self in a tight Pickle right now down at Garrett....
They are trying to play catch up and at the same time keep it as low key as they can...They have a rep to up keep..And how would you like to sink all of your time and work into something then it is not quite right upon release to the world ...
Garrett is learning like those before them had to.....If you are go

At-Pro coil's.....If I were betting I would think they have to remove the connector and solder the shield to the connector...then go inside the detector and solder a ground lug from the connector to the Board to complete the circuit...
I believe the coils were never properly grounded....
Probably what happened is the first couple of batches where soldered wrong without the shield compl

ever wonder why they need Teknetic's when they have Fisher?Off er almost the same machine's just in different packaging...
well in Europe you have Joan Allen (Fisher) and Regton (Tek) they each are sole Importer's if they had one brand only one of them would have to step down....
So offer 2 brand's keep both happy...Was not a problem when FT did not own Fisher they mark

yes we know the law of physics still prevails on the unmasking ability....
I was mainly wondering why the range was so far as to go into big iron???
I think you mentioned the Bad coil at pro having problem's when scrubbing on loosing the target....
I tested it on a 11 inch penny and the only way to hear the penny was to scrub the coil..lift it just a pinch off the ground and penny

and a few other's have me now where I would not hunt without the extra info gained from the iron identification system...
I love knowing what's under my coil at any given time....
I know the programmable machine's could do this for year's but I dont like a machine you program ...
I like the way they are going with light weight simplicity and fast response...Depth is d

I am sure there will be a top of the line type unit....maybe utilizing the new coil and probably some sort of programming ??? the target sizing feature worked a decade ago but they need some real time data like the V3 offer's to compete for sales....Maybe they are leaning toward a multi freq??
If a company has team of digital code writer's and the go ahead they can build some excitin

is what my Dad always told me....
People do try to get there info from other people... heck we would not be here at this site if it were not true ..We all do it everyday.. be it New's media( ha don't get me started) to reading book's etc etc...and for the most part we believe it..
But to get the most out of this hobby self taught is the best learning experience...What li

I have never seen much depth gain on coin sized object's or coin's for that matter with the past 15 inch coil's....they go deeper on bigger target's but seem to stay the same or even get less depth on the coin size stuff..
Maybe it's more of a Cache mode accessory ??
or it could be quite different .....Most of the coin hunters will probably not find much use for it

I can see the advantage of the narrow mid tone on ancient site's if you are after the hammered coin's...you can alter the mid tone with the iron audio... so just knock out the nail's and it is my understanding the hammered coin's will read in the foil range so say about 30-50 will be mid tone and that would tip you off to the coin's quickly....
Not saying you would not

to a huge piece of iron like Axe head's and plow point's when using the grab.....?????
My other machine's wont do this....
what the kicker is I can balance it to say the axe head then the machine will not hear the axe but will hear the low conductor's or other conductor's??
I have never had a detector balance out larger iron...
the way it work's is once y

I have came across in a detector...Waterproof/////light weight/////Excellent Stock Coil//////UN-BELIEVABLE AUDIO/////fantastic mineral see through ability///Great cross board sens///
If you are on the fence climb on over.......... at the price point Vs performance it's a no-brainer for sure...It will hold it's own with any multi purpose machine when comparing in ground depth's.

Yes I have the sniper coil.....
My impression of it is...Well it is about a 5-6 inch coil .....It will airtest a little deeper than that....It was made for one purpose cherry picking recent drop's in trash.....Cherry picking meaning it is small enough to isolate target's and give clean I.D.,,,,It is not a relic sniper in wooded environ's it will not see though ground cover the

It is a great machine for sure....but In disc mode in severe ground it will suffer like all Vlf's....the 19khz will airtest crazy deep and also punch neutral soil very well... But get it into bad dirt and it will suffer...
The At has some fantastic mineral see through...
