What I have found with the D2 is that it's always a compromise to have it set right.
I feel they added the multi freq to attract the salt water hunters more than the Iron infested site hunters.
I'm not sure I see any advantage YET to the multi freq in iron over a regular Deus.
I can say the D2 is alot more noisy in iron VS regular Deus till you get all the settings right then i

Good Hunt!!
The sound is VCO audio..I've alway's told people the F19 Is a Lobo ST with a meter and dual tones
Same sound Same DNA ..Dave Johnson did both.

Yes the F19 needs a little more juice.yet the 13 ultimate can take it quite deep and the high freq keeps it hot to small stuff at depth.
If a person has the G2+/F19/ TRP (Time Ranger Pro) I wouldn't rush out to get another unit to serve you better till I explored the different coil combinations.
Especially if you have the F19 as it comes with the best coil (5x10) for most hunting condi

Flashlight and handgrip vibration..HMMMM..Sounds familiar
Sort of neat seeing more manufactures follow suit with especially the handgrip vibration aspect..Some people are Deaf that cant enjoy the hobby.Might be useful in roaring surf too Id imagine.

Yeah F19/G2+ are really great machine's.
I wish they would of gave us some more gain at least till it starts to chatter .I run mine on wide open sens usually about everywhere.I'd like to see it start to get sparky about 95 sens and then above that really come alive.
Or give it a boost mode like T2/F75.
Ill tell you the real sleeper from FTP..The Patriot/F70 though I prefer the

Yes same machine Steve but tad more depth vs those.Since you dont have to use disc setting for tone break but an actual tone break so the machine is left on zero disc for maximum depth then you slide tone break.its small gain but still a gain.
Plus you will have a notch option the gold bug and G2 does not have.Disc up to zinc then open up a nickle window, sort of cool to do for flash money hu

Whats funny on the D2 VS regular VLF machines even the original Deus.I can get the 10 inch dime on those but I have to manipulate the ground balance and then it lets in alot of ground noise once the audio gates open on those machines giving the impression even though its a target it could be a iron cause of the ground encroachment to the signal.
The D2 is dead on ground balance at about 95 bu

Just using factory Deep HC program and slowed down reactivity to zero.it started hitting decent at 1.5 but sounded great at zero.

I'm actually pretty excited about the Manticore myself.
Minelab knows how to handle the soil, if they have sped it up some for iron rich sites it may be a real step forward for Minelab.
For depth in my soil I have found P.I. is a overkill for what you have to put up with in terms of no DISC my soil is bad but its not to the point id have to rely on a P.I. thanks goodness.Yet Minelab h

I can say one thing Ive learned over last few years with these newer units is my settings for my soil may not work for your soil.
MDT is one like that.
Manufacturers know to get more in ground depth they have to overcome the soil if there staying with available transmission system we have. The soil has alway's been the force holding back deeper finds.Newer units seem to be attacking the

I like that it says lighting speed.
Multi IQ+ not sure what the plus is
Deep
Fast
Accurate
Seems to be the the 3 components of the Manticore.I guess that builds the perfect Beast?
Looks like there's some adjustable bins on bottom of screen maybe for Co/Fe like 3030 has

Its a ground rod it seems.Could be for lighting with point up or maybe drive in ground for grounding.
doing a quick search company is in business still ..We have dozens and dozens at work on top of the building like that all connected together and ran to the ground.

The whole BBS needs to be kept going in a new housing. It would be a msitake to let the BBS fall by the wayside.
A simple placement in say a lightweight housing waterproof for diving and light enough for the land hunter would be a wise choice.
I still to this day keep a Sovereign or two on standby for a reason ..It works like no other can for heavy BIG iron sites on a initial hunt.

Good report so far Tom!!
I was on the fence on the Deus2 but I should? have one in next couple of weeks myself if things works out .We will see if it works out if i get's here or not.
I was scared the multi would kill the reactivity of the regular Deus which is the whole DNA of the Deus platform.
I've refrained from watching videos or reading about it which has been hard but di

Awesome Machine you have there!!
Man that dual disc is deadly in iron for picking goodies like coins. The small octagon has pulled me coins deep in heavy heavy iron with a flip of the switch in turn of century house sites I set it high enough to hear late indian head's and it dont disappoint.Set it to crackle on a nickle and you'll never miss a nickle even in aluminum.Set it clean hi

I've had machines I didnt want to use with stock coil only to come across a coil that brings the machine into its own..
MXT is such a machine.the Stock 950 coil and me didnt click.I remember when the machine came out I was waiting eagerly seeing the ads in the magazines. Finally my dealer had them in stock and I rode up and got one out of the box and went out to his test garden behind shop

Yeah Harold I think most of the world has skipped heart beat's? some notice it some dont.Mine has skipped around before especially when I'm dehydrated.
My wife's on medicine for life now it seems. If she forgets her dose which is every 12 hours of medicine within a couple of hours her heart speeds up.
She also had to have a third of her colon removed for a

Hey Harold I was using the F19 with 5x10 coil that day.It was only couple inches deep in the flipped dirt from the logging.Anything would of dug it clean signal.
Thanks
Hey Cal! Man their ought to be Reb buttons out west lots of Southerners went west after the war.Seems some of those old house sites would give up some.Heck they get dug even in the Caribbean where some moved out of the U.S.

Dug this solid cast Infantry button last month not far from house.I had hunted the old house site years ago and found some coins but no Civil War relics.cleaned on the site pretty good hoping for Civil War since it had seated money in the site...Anyhow they cut a swath through there for logging and I checked it out and dug the button. That's it!! Must of hunted it harder than I thought
