No. it's probably a normal progression as it has been superceded by the R2 and people are opting to buy that and the 'old model' naturally devalues.
In addition, there wasn't any 'regulation' of the MSRP of the Red in the UK and EU and it was Sold at low cost to get sales for those who had them to sell.
If you can still find a 'Red Pro Pack' I'd gr

"Yeah, I've also noted the R2 mightn't produce a TID any higher than 13, 16, 23, etc etc on a good item in iron! IF there's any flucuation at all from TID 4 or 6 >>> to higher I always DIG"

'Gone beepin is correct. On something that old regardless whether or not the cracked camlock was replaced, chances are it will crack again due to age.
That's about the only thing you have to look out for. The 3 internal boards don't fail that much but what does "go" is the [ ribbon connector ] inside just under the plastic membrane [ front panel ] and the XS' just f

"If I had a dollar for every time I heard this same story during my 14 years with Minelab then, I guess I wouldn't be on this Forum? I'd be far away on 'a desert island' living the easy life spending the HUGE amount of Cash"

On the 14th September 1982 I sent £82.00 to a UK dealer for a 'Savo Coinmaster 4DB' and paid Customs Duties of £15.35
bringing the grand total to about 97 'quid'
Savo went onto become the "White's" brand we know today.
Anyway, this was the worst detector I was ever involved with: it couldn't detect a coin on the surface!!!
I Sold it to a sports st

I passed on the offer of testing a new G2+ as I felt it was so like the F19 which, I liked to a certain extent.
But I wasn't interested in trying to pen a whole new test report that would / might have been very close to my findings with the F19.
I've also passed on a few NokMak tests for the same reasons.
I also put a video of a short few finds with the F19 on YouTube back in 2014:

Good Q.
Detectors have been coming down in price for a few years ever since "Garrett" upset the apple cart with a $179.00 dollar Ace 150 that gob-smacked seasoned Pro's with it's performance.
Other makers have followed suit: Teknetics Digitek, Fisher F22, F44, Whites Pro Master to name just a few.
Nowadays we can buy a very good detector with a lot of 'bells n whistl

I have a 4" and an 11" that I was sent by Fisher labs many years ago in return for an article I wrote about the then Fisher 1220-X
So they are for the 1220 / 1260-X models but I don't know if they will fit the 1266-X?
They have 5pin female coil connections (very fine pins)
I never used any of them 'cos I had Sold the 1220-X by the time they had got to me.
Any use to yo

Video making (filming) and trying to get to grips with a New machine can conflict: time, conditions, finds, weather etc.
I'm currently testing an Ace 4i but today and yesterday [ chose not to film ] cos I just wanted "to detect"
I've plenty of video from other days.
It's time consuming and sometimes it's difficult and one mightn't be in the mood.
And, there

It's 13kHz.
When it first came out I fell in love with that gorgeous 'Scwinn bike' green!
One came my way and despite buying & selling many other detectors, I still have the T2 and don't plan on giving it up any time soon!
It's a GREAT detector and, two of the best designers on the design team are legendary, Dave Johnson and John Gardiner.

"I never bought into the Fisher 1265/6 machines. But had ALL the originals, the 1210-X, 1220-X & 1260-X
With these I achieved fantastic results.
What happened was around the same time I became a Tesoro seller and I spent most of the time with the emerging ground-breaking models like the 'Gold Sabre' etc.
Years later while living in Fla, I bought into a CZ6a and found it gre

Yes I have experienced that.
Was testing for the British MOD with a variety of detectors and while using an X-Terra 705 with 10" DD coil I happened to mention I thought that I "detected voids" in the test lanes that seemed to get them excited by my findings!
I've experienced it about two other times in the wild - was using a Sov and an Explorer
It can occur but folks misi

"Few months ago I was testing a UK C Scope CS2MX model.
In a grass park I could tell the difference between a penny size coin in Disc Mode from a screw cap.
But, with bigger than penny size coins I couldn't.
I've a video on YT and it shows that.

"I'm afraid not old buddy!!!
It's just the way it is - way too many varieties / shapes / thickness / brands / manufacturers / aluminum percentage make-up etc.
I test different machines 'monthly' and dig 'screw caps' weekly - even yesterday with a new Garrett"

Took another look at your silver's and those Liberty's are nice!

Some few folks mentioned the "X-Terra"
It definitely does stand out as being very resistant.
I've been using them ( developed them in 2005) for years and can count any EMI issues on just a single hand!

Not the nicest coins in the world but it's always GREAT to cheat the 'iron monster' and free a few desirables!

Good Tip
Due to the screen cover provided with my Racer 2 [ standing clear off the screen ] thereby making it hard to see in wet / and dirt on it, I cut down a spare "FONEWARE" iPhone 6 screen protector and it just stuck on to the screen's surface as quick as a contact lens on your eye! Great.

"I LIKE the video...it's a completely DIFFERENT beast than the one I had been sent for testing!
For music fans and I'm 'braggin' here...I used be able to play "Star Spangle Banner" on a Garrett ADS 7....true story!!!"
Many centuries later "Moon Lab" cottoned on to the idea and used some MTV folk to make their detectors "sing!"
